RMweb Gold PjKing1 Posted August 16, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 16, 2016 I think the track looks great Phil (for narrow gauge ) like Mike says above the real railway is up an down etc so I wouldn't worry. Cheers
RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted August 16, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 16, 2016 Have you looked at a telephoto shot of the real railway, exactly the same as your track Phil. Superb vid as ever, highlights for me, MFYWP western, scary 2 foot long flying ants, strange bloke in an even stranger hat in the background, individually weathered minerals. Just one mini critique if I may, the signal action is a bit severe, you need one of those nice Megapoints controllers with variable bounce. Salivating in anticipation of further hydraulic porn. Mike. Forgot to add; That RMB looks familiar? Mike.
RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted August 16, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 16, 2016 Ah you mean the Mainline RB!!!! Cheers Mike....yes has acquired Keen Couplings, and been rebranded and weathered. Just debating whether or not to worry about flush glazing - doesn't look out of place as it is. Te debo una cerveza - o varios! Cheers Phil

RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted August 17, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 17, 2016 So going back to the Mainline RB Its a product of the Merl Evans Era - along with the Mainline Jubilee and Warship, real game changers back in the 70s For those who may have missed it - http://Bachmann.co.uk/ - sad news Phil

RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted August 17, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 17, 2016 (edited) Yes I remember that too. Were the Replica FO and BCK the logical developments? Whilst the RB is an excellent survivor suspect a significant proportion of the Warships and Jubilees from that era have met their end... D1059
Murderer. Mike. The Mainline Warship had a body moulding that was 20 years ahead of its time..................and they totally spoiled it by putting the cheapest, nastiest, pancake motor mechanism that they could find into it as motive power

D1059
Very true - but then Bachmann sorted it with a much better chassis and motor.... Phil Indeed, but I'd gone N by then I re-engineered one of mine using a Fiddleyard Traction chassis - central can motor, cardan shafts and flywheels. Could pull all my rolling stock up the side of a mountain after that

RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted August 30, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) Next video is here... https://youtu.be/LnbTeq9kdtQ But its now 10.50, just started loading and it probably wont finish until after midnight...and sorry, it took all night to load. This video is based on the wtt - the mix of trains is interesting. Changing trains all the time is very time consuming, that 12 minutes is the result of about 3 hours activity! Enjoy Phil Edited August 31, 2016 by Phil Bullock
