m0rris
Thanks for the plug. I have indeed just released a new batch of models and here is a photo of the prinered range all together! There's plenty more in the works electronically and physically at the moment.

monkeysarefun
Continuing my Jowett journey, the ute (or whatever they are called over there) version, in O and OO. Wall thicknesses etc were scaled for O so I was happy to see that most details printed in OO, even the wipers and steering wheel. I also printed an Nscale version but at that point the wheels fell off (literally AND figuratively!) For extra fun I added some materials to the model inside Blender and rendered it within an HDRI backdrop.. 5
quicksilvercoaches
Here's a railway-related 3D printed road vehicle that doesn't appear to have been mentioned yet. The Leyland Terrier crewbus is available in N and OO (this is the latter) from Ray Rimes Designs and looks far superior to P&D Marsh's effort. This is straight out of the box and I haven't done anything to it yet, but it won't be going in BR colours. James Mellors Amusements had two of them (ABT 351R and HDN 466S) as staff sleeping accommodation and later transferred their bodies to a pair of Ford Cargos, so it'll be joining my fairground fleet. quicksilvercoaches
My latest batch of @m0rris's cars have just arrived, but here's the big one of the road vehicle range, the Bedford VAL/Harrington Legionnaire coach based on the Italian Job transporter, to which I have added seats to turn it back into a PSV. Another recent completion from a firm I don't think have been mentioned here is this Miniature Haulage Creations Volvo FMX recovery truck.
Mike Harvey
I have been looking at some of the Italian N pages and found this Iveco Daily van. Not sure if it is 3D printed or resin moulded. https://lk-train.com/product/iveco-daily-la-stampa-esclusiva-lk-train-scala-n/ Page 13 of the Pirata new items catalogue for N also lists a Fiat Ducato van and minibus, plus an Alfa Giulia and Fiat 128. Again not clear if they are 3D printed. https://www.piratamodels.it/pdf-cataloghi/Materiale2024/Cataloghi/PIRATA-FlyerNorimberga_PRINT.pdf Edited January 31 by Mike Harvey
quicksilvercoaches
Some unusual subjects among @m0rris's recent creations that I don't think have been modelled in any scale before. The Spitfire is tiny and I was terrified of breaking those slim pillars. Rover 800: Pre-Princess BL wedges in Morris and Wolseley form: Rover 200 Tomcat coupe: Rover 400 Tourer: Austin 3-litre: Triumph Spitfire: Vauxhall Astra: Mk2 Cortina 4-door (this is a replica of the 1600E my dad had): Mk2 Cortina estate: There's another 10 waiting their turn now these are done.

Chrisr40
Evening all. I have some Bachmann STVA car transporters that I am looking to populate. How do 3d printed cars stack up versus Oxford diecast weight wise ? Thanks for any replies. Chris
quicksilvercoaches
Some more completed from CMAC @m0rris's ever-growing range. The Mini represents one my parents had, registered in 1977 but apparently a 1973 model with the fake wood trim. 4

Chris Sorry for the late reply but either resin or FDM 3d models will be very light weight provided they are hollow which most will be.

Thank you Simon. Is printing them yourself from plans on shapeways or similar the only way to get them or does anyone do them commercially ? Sorry for lots of questions. Depends what you want, look back through this thread you will find several companies like mine that design and sell 3D printed vehicles in various scales. I have not seen the files you mention a shapeways as I don't tend to look there anymore as I don't like their materials or prices. My details are below, but there are others as well.

stewartingram
Just looked on his website, no sign of a R75. The Morris Ital looks tasty though.. Do you have a link to the R75?

m0rris
Thanks @quicksilvercoaches and @stewartingram for sign posting and then ordering the Rover respectively! And yes, the website is on my to do list for next month as it is increasingly out of date!
stewartingram
Interestingly the price of that R75 is (pretty obviously) far cheaper than the price of a Shapeways one. (I believe from the same source?) R75 basic price £32.35. With all fees £48.23 ! Well done for moving away from Shapeways.
stewartingram
Just to add that I've been holding on the Shapeways site for ages. I had 3 cars in my basket; R75, Morris Ital, and instead of the Metro, a Rover 800. Now over £109 really made me hesitate. Those fees are killers. I can't see the Rover 800 listed on ebay though, I would go for that too.
m0rris
Rover 800 is temporarily out of stock, but I will be restocking it in the next month or so. Shapeways is very expensive and needless to say, that additional expense is all going to shapeways... With recent issues involving shapeways rejecting models after they have been ordered, I will be severely rationalising my range on there anyway. quicksilvercoaches
Here's the Rover 75 from @m0rris. Paint is Tamiya PS-46, a purple/green flip (hopefully you can see the colour-shift effect in the photos) that looks similar to Rover's Monogram Chromescent range and the interior is an approximation of Deep Sea Green Personal Line leather. At the same time I also built its predecessor, the relatively unloved 600 that I don't think has ever been modelled before. This one is in the classic Nightfire Red.
Adamphillip
sorry to butt in, but anyone know where I can find some modern N scale cars like what you'd see on a car transporter train? maybe even with the factory wrapping on them?

RailNscale do wrapped cars, they are 3D printed. Otherwise modern vehicles are a bit thin on the ground. Some eBay sellers have a cheap generic car for sale. Mike Harvey
Kato make a set of wrapped cars in 1:150. While on the subject of wrapping, HFR160 in France is bringing out the Peugeot 206 and Renault Clio as a clear moulded body but wrapped in a full colour detailed transfer to represent the body colour and fittings. These are intended to be used on Gefco and STVA car transporters in 1:160 and will be about 5 euros each when released in late summer. These are being made currently. I think that adding the one piece transfer might be a bit like putting in a contact lens until you get used to doing it. Someone has been trained specially for the job. This is a photo from the topic on the French N gauge Forum. The cars will be sold fully finished. 1
