I like it, I like it very much and it's reminding me that I too have a layout to be getting on with.

I think that the sign looks really good.

If you think that sign won't pass muster, remember two things.

1. The clean, shiny, perfectly painted ones in real life are either reproductions or hanging in someone's private museum.

2. If Warren Branch is set c1938, that sign would probably already have hung outside for around sixty years and been painted over the muck several times.

I’ve had these in the post this morning...

....right or wrong I’m going to use the sack trucks on the goods shed platform

Never really had white metal castings before, I’ve always been put off for some reason but these look quite good....apart from there is a piece missing

I’ve bought them direct from Dart Castings so I’ve emailed them about the missing part, don’t know if they’ll do anything though having never dealt with them before

Dart Castings are usually have very good customer service. They have always been helpful to me and the castings are very high quality.

Your pictures look better than the ones on the Dart website. I thought that they looked a bit blobby on the website so didn't bother.

I'll be getting some and they do look right.

I might even have a photo somewhere!

That’s what has always put me off, I won’t be using the four wheel trolley because I like the Coopercraft ones but the two wheel trolleys are really good, I’ve ordered another pack so I can put one or two on the station platform too

I’ve since painted the bottom part black

I think this type better suits the goods shed which is why I’ve bought another pack so I can have a couple of these for the goods shed. The other type better suits the station platform maybe?

I’ve been putting it off but I’ve finally attempted to repaint the figure I had from Hardy’s Hobbies

How it arrived from Hardy’s

I think I was a little too harsh on Hardy’s Hobbies because to be fair to them I don’t think I’ve done much better

The other chap that is the perfect hight for what I need took a tumble and lost a hand (typical!) so I’ve had to order another figure

OUCH, I bet he wished he'd stayed in the box.

I couldn’t think of another way to hold him. I originally drilled the hole hoping to use a cocktail stick or a bit of wire but that didn’t work so I ended up just using the drill bit

That figure looks totally different now it has has a.proper paint job.

If you hadn't paid actual money for it, I expect it would have been chucked in the spares box. It didn't look worth saving to be honest!
