The 009 layouts are all analogue, so the DCC system is something I'm keen to get rid of. Which Lenz system is it? Might help buyers if you specified it… Quote Regarding the next layout.... here is a sneak of the theme..... Technically, that’s two themes. Not just different track gauge, but different loading gauges, too!

I’m not bothered, but if Tom wants to make the best of the opportunity, he can’t rely on people scrolling back a few days. 1

Tom F
Morning all! Quick update. Sadly the sale of Cwm Prysor has fallen through, so the layout is available for purchase. Edited January 10, 2022 by Tom F
Popular Post Tom F
Well, today marked the end of an era. Cwm Prysor, a layout that formed a large part of my life over the past 6-7 years has been sold, along with the remaining stock. The stock has now gone, and the first part of the layout is heading down to its new home in Oxfordshire. The new owner is really enthusiastic about the branch, and fell in love with it on reading this thread a few months ago. I have asked that he continues Cwm Prysor's adventure.....and possible extension in this thread. 28 1

Yes David, I fell in love with the branch after reading this thread and did a deal with Tom. Bit different from the ECML I know, but I still have an interest there.

RMweb Premium The White Rabbit Posted October 7, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 7, 2022 And I'll 'third' that. I like the layout and would certainly be interested in more posts.
Tortuga
I’ll fourth (?) Ade. I’m also intrigued to know if you intend to keep it in its current era or back date it to GWR or even update it to BR Blue - I always liked Tom’s photos of Blue Diesels on it…

I like modelling the 1950’s anyway.
RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted October 8, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 8, 2022 Yes indeed, a fine inspirational layout, the zenith of less-is-more, maybe there with Llanstr.
Pteremy
There is a chapter about the flooding of the valley to make the reservoir in 'Shadowlands' by Matthew Green. (I bought it because there is also a chapter about Dunwich in Suffolk, which I was about to visit, but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole book.)
