Ollie K
With Rapido about to launch a second batch of dynamometer cars (this time with the lining Mike added so painstakingly) it’s interesting to read this thread again and see what scope there is for improving the model, particularly the interior details. Such a pity all the images were lost in the server crash - I hope we can see them again one day.
MikeTrice
I have made a start trying to reload the images, starting with the interior however RMWeb is stopping me loading all of them at present. 1
MikeTrice
Hopefully, most of the images have been restored. 1 1

Hello Mike, I only just found this thread: very impressive work! I don't intend much modification but I would like to fit a crew and perhaps osme internal detailing so I shall be studying your disassembly instrucitons carefully... RMweb Gold 57xx Posted February 7, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 7, 2023 I've also only just seen this thread. Wow! What an amazing result, really lifted the model way above what it was.
Methuselah
I've also only just found this thread. Most impressive Mike. I wonder if you can advise me please....? I ended up with both versions of this model, so I though that I'd retromod the first unlined version back to it's NER configuration. I'll have to remove the duckets and vestibule connections and repaint it in crimson etc. However - I need to source the correct NER bogies. Do you know if these are available anywhere please....? TIA.
MikeTrice
They are 8'0" Fox Patent bogies. Have a look at this thread: https://www.lner.info/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10472 You are in luck. Removing the duckets will expose the panelling Rapido thoughtfully included underneath.
