Same as with the FGW green and gold HSTs, and VTEC/LNER - one of the 91s in the latter ended up with a white valence and looked so much better. Looks like the cheap train set version of Hornby's old models. I can't help but think if I'd been in charge of painting them, they'd have come out with it in white... I like the reduced front yellow panel looks better like that I think.
RMweb Premium GWRPhil Posted February 19, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 19, 2023 Wonder what the swallow livery would look like with that design of yellow panel. I’ve got to think better. I don’t have photo shop skills to find out though.

RMweb Gold Stuart A Posted July 5, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 5, 2023 I headed to Brands Hatch this weekend for the Super Touring Power weekend. On the way down, on Friday stopped at Frinkley Lane crossing between Grantham and Newark, and managed to see three of the class in one and a half hours.

Guest
This was 91114 Durham Cathedral at Leeds a few weeks ago. A friend is a graduate of Durham University & loved that the background on the nameplate is palatinate. The old Leeds power signal box isn’t quite as iconic as Birmingham New Street, but looks pretty fine.
