Grassing someone up” is very much an expression used by the criminal classes.

It may have been once upon a time but it is in much more common use nowadays. For a while in schools where I taught due to the influence of ”Neighbours” I did sometimes hear “dob” used but it never really replaced grass.

He's also 'supposed' to be 'working on a project' at the moment or so he keeps trying to convince his loyal followers. Perhaps he's sunning himself somewhere surrounded by young sheep's.

Even more desperate deflection attempts by pointing the finger at a little sheep and grass over being called out for grassing on a poor misunderstood bear.

Now you’re just having a larf.

Poor misunderstood Bear?

What are you smoking?

p.s. One man’s “grass” is another man’s “public minded citizen doing his civic duty” (or even a “valuable intelligence asset”).

So now the truth will out!

Over on the companion thread to TNM (ERs) The Bear has been bragging about how virtuous he has become, informing everyone and anyone that he has “given up” curly fries, pizza and cake in favour of healthy vegetables multiple times a day  (I believe Broccoli may even have been mentioned at one point).

Now, in an incautious moment, he lets slip that the “Virtuous Bear” was naught but a facade.

I won’t comment beyond asking the TNMs “would you leave cake alone in a room with that Bear?”

Bear had broccoli last night….and cauliflower…..and carrots…..

No chips/CF/Pizza/cake either 😩

Though I did have a lasagne ding din dins - but still under 1700 calories, even with the donut ambush…..

That sort of ambush can be terrifying.

I've seen truly, mighty cakephiles, go down under the onslaught of a cunning Krispy Creme carnage.

I nearly succumbed once when being viciously assaulted by a dozen Fairy cakes.  Fortunately they were unable to amass their full potential as one of them was missing  a wing, so I took him out first and the rest just crumbled.

Was that before or after the KC had been 'gottan'

See Bluey, series 2 episode 34 "Swim School" for a philosophical analysis of dobbing.

Cake ambushes can cause all sorts of trouble.

Even the most desultory reading of his recent posts would evidence numerous discrepancies between words and actions.

Hardly marks him out in present company, does it?

I believe NHY 581 spent some years in a respected profession that required him to rub very close shoulders with some such.

I believe it is  Manutopean for KFC.

Far to educated for a Manutopean - I mean it's in capitals for a start. Probably some Brummie lingo. It's gets everywhere like a bad rash.

Ah KFC.

Bones in breadcrumbs.

Only once, never again. Glad we had a half price voucher.

Andy

But didn't you appreciate the special coating with it's secret ingredient. We didn't and never went back.

I've just put the wheelie bin out.

I'm not suggesting that it is getting old, but the tyres aren't road legal anymore.

My wheelie bin for recyclables is so old that it's not only grey, but has whitish patches.  It'd be a humanitarian gesture if the binmen recycled it along with its contents...

It must be a chronic rash as although I left Birmingham about 60 years ago I still get people mentioning that my accent isn’t from “round here”.

The refuse vehicle once ate our garden recycling wheelie bin. There was a note left letting us know where to phone for a new one. That came quickly but it look a little longer to get a replacement permit sticker.
