Baggies1961
Many thanks, why I tried to cut brick away from an area not in the window frame the lord only knows.....
Baggies1961
Playing around with the placement of buildings. Need to get the back boards on.
Baggies1961
A building I pass most days whilst out travelling to construction sites to inspect inspired me to stop today, photograph it and model it. It will have brick gables but clad above the shuttered doors with steel cladding, as will the roof. I changed the corrugated store building as I decided it was far to big so it was duly sliced in half and angle of roof amended.
Baggies1961
Brick facings on as is the steel cladding above shutter doors.
Baggies1961
Roof laid on using up scraps of steel cladding I had left. Some box guttering to go in yet along the bottom of the roof sheets.

Baggies1961
Had a rethink for this little cameo/diorama. Im going to use 3/4’s of the two boards as the scene and will have the traverser in the last 30 odd inches of the first board. Im also going to attempt a picture frame effect as I bought the 2x1 timber for it this morning and have a higher viewing level, fingers crossed. 4

Baggies1961
I have started to assemble some builders type equipment I saw on ebay at the weekend. That and other equipment & clutter will be fenced in with the ubiquitous mesh fencing.
RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted December 7, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 7, 2020 The workshop/storage shed looks superb Chris
Baggies1961
Hi Chris, Thanks for your kind words, just perusing the modelu catalogue for some guttering pieces as all the buildings need some. Unfortunately my umbrella broke within days of buying it, but as luck would have it I am going to use the veins of the umbrella for the gutter runs. When the ply back board is fitted I can then cut the back of the roofs to fit.
Baggies1961
Somewhere near the line up for the cameo. Maybe a little office in the front and there is a porta cabin on its way.

Baggies1961
Put together a little yard office and will either cover in brick or clad with wood sheeting.
Baggies1961
Been busy today making up the frame for the cameo with 2x1. I have no long screws so will get some tomorrow from the hardware shop literally around the corner from me. Had to snip a bit off the end of the track to fit the frame and will have to cut some out the opposite end for the track to run off to the traverser board.
Baggies1961
Been busy with the ‘yard’ this weekend. I wanted to mount the card on the ply ready to paint but I have run out of time today. I think it will need an opening lid or certainly lights under the lid if its fixed. The mounting card will hide the chips in the ply!
Baggies1961
To protect buildings for now I put them back in place. Some trimming to do of over hanging ply and the ground needs bringing up to the level of the track.

Baggies1961
Hi Ade, Thanks, I spent most of weekend working on it off an on. I have white card to stick to the ply back boards and then I will paint them. Today I ordered some LED lights from amazon to shine down on the scene. I will need some more ply for the lid or top.
Baggies1961
After doing some work on the computer tonight I have only had time for some work on the small office building. I have added the windows, cills and lintels and painted engineers blue brick colour to the first few courses of brick. For some inexplicable reason I cut outside of the door aperture so will have to hide that with moss or ivy etc. 5
