34006
I think it needs a driver, and certainly needs "knocking about".In my experience forktrucks seldom look pristine for long, especially "common user"ones found on dock sides or timber yards.(or builders merchants come to that). atb Phil

Baggies1961
Coat of paint on large brick and small brick building and both roofs painted. Ply bought to bring level up to track level and will need cork on top. I will build some more buildings to hide the entry exit to the layout.
Baggies1961
Done some more work on the large warehouse building. Lintels and cills fitted as were the roller shutter doors today, unfortunately new windows that I ordered were wrong size so as vandals had struck and smashed all the previous windows they were boarded up! brossard
When doing my buildings, I couldn't find standard windows so I made my own: A very tedious job. I used Evergreen strip, mostly 0.040" x 0'040". These things would lend themselves to being 3D printed if you know someone. John 4
Baggies1961
Yes I had John and have been following your scalescenes project they are very nice indeed, I dont know anyone unfortunately who could do that for me mores the pity.
brossard
Perhaps someone will see this and put their hand up. I've been thinking of extending my dock scene and could use more windows. John
Baggies1961
Another warehouse built brick bottom, asbestos sheets at the top. Got slightly excited as it grew bigger than I originally planned. The track will have to slew slightly now. This building will hide the exit. Undecided as to whether it needs a door or not?
Baggies1961
Ordered some precision (phoenix) engineer blue brick colour paint as Id run out. Over £5 for postage as it has to come by courier, no choice so bought a big tin!
Baggies1961
Hadn't planned to, but spent some time this morning embellishing the big boarded up building. Top row bricks hides the join!

Baggies1961
Thanks Chris I moved up to O as my eye sight is not getting any better. Still struggle with minute details. Regards Julian.
Baggies1961
I painted the large warehouse building with acrylic burnt sienna as Stephen (warspite) did on his milk warehouse from his great sidings layout from a few years ago. Used Humbrol brick red on the smaller building, hopefully will tone down when the mortar is added.
Baggies1961
Another store type building started whatever possessed me to put the side walls outside of the gable ends god only knows. Thought I would finish it anyway to see what it looked like when the roof is on, boarded up windows, and doors are added and weathered etc.
Baggies1961
Built this good depot with loading bay this morning. Pinned with track pins whilst the ‘no nails’ glues. Windows in for effect at the moment.
Baggies1961
Omitted to say the slice above the two doors will take the canopy. This decorative strips are from LCUT Creative stuck to foam board.
Baggies1961
Front platform loading bay fitted and glueing, canopy fitted temporarily again for effect. Card platform in position ready to be fixed.
D6775
Some nice looking buildings, are they glued and pinned together?? I really need to crack on with some building work but not having access to the layout at the moment isn't helping.
