BernardTPM
The OCAs weren't built until 1981 so could not have been used at Rocket 150, though they are very like taller SPAs in many respects or even a steel version of the OAA.

Johann Marsbar
Some of my photos from 25th May show different consists to your list..... "Maude" had only one carriage...... "Novelty" had been relegated to a wagon...... ..and the other "vintage" locos passed like this......

Indeed, you are correct, the list started out as the "as planned" list. Maude did indeed bring two coaches down from Falkirk on the 17th May. Here she is at Bolton Station with both in tow. I an not sure why she never pulled both during the event, but I have kept both on the list, as any eventual diorama would include Bold Colliery as the fiddle yard, and the 2nd coach can live there. (Railway Magazine July 1980) As for the sorry tale of the three replicas, there was a letter of complaint in the same magazine as the above photo asking why they never did any dry runs to check that they would work for the event? Again, looking at photos of Bold, there were several "unique" carriages that were supposed to be used by the replicas. Note the three yellow with red trim 2nd class coaches, these were in addition to the 2 first and 2 second class coaches made for the Centenary celebration in 1930 that are part of York's collection, giving seven in total. I will be posting a few more images that show other rolling stock that was there for the event but never used. 1
Steamport Southport
The problem was the track in the colliery. Fine for larger locomotives, but not very good for locos with tiny wheelbases that are smaller than the gauge. Rocket was the worst offender and derailed a few times. ISTR the other Caley coach went to Liverpool Road, Manchester for storage where a few locomotives had been stored in the build up. They also used Northwich shed. There are also the L&MR coaches owned by Liverpool Museum which makes three of each. Experience and a Third are currently in storage. Both came down from Southport with Lion. https://www.flickr.com/photos/goremirebob/14403038411 http://www.cs.rhrp.org.uk/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=5551 I believe the three "new" replica coaches were later scrapped. They were only made of plywood and weren't built to last. Not much details, but this one was at Shildon. http://www.cs.rhrp.org.uk/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=5433 Jason

LMRT
I have just picked up another coach for the collection, the 2nd coach pulled by Princess Elizabeth, 3rd Brake coach 26921 (diag 2161). I was going to get the Comet Miniature kit from Wizard Models, (https://www.wizardmodels.ltd/shop/carriage/m46k/) but then I came across a RTR from Bachman, but alas they only do it in Blue/grey, but considering the alternative is building it all from scratch and then painting it, compared to just repainting one, the extra cost was worth it.https://www.collettsmodelshop.co.uk/product/Bachmann-branchline-39-462-lms-57ft-porthole-brake-second-corridor-br-blue-grey/ Collets was by far the cheapest, so much so, I may also post it to the bargain hunt thread.
