Mine is en route. Is it easy to EM Paul? if it is.. I have a cunning plan,!

Yes and no, wheels pull out fine but there's a lot to take out of the splashers, almost too much, replacement wheels would be better but matching that paint would be fun!.

Hi mate,

been following your layout for a while and to be honest, it’s inspired me to model EM! I’ve got a O class on the way, don’t suppose you have any photos of the conversion process?

many thanks,

Dylan

As it happens.. I do have a set of Gibbo wheels. I did paint the ones for the A Class so not put off by that.

Unfortunately no, I was just concentrating on getting it done. Pretty straight forward really, just had to be very careful grinding out the backs of the splashers.

Don't forget the tiny RTR axles. It's matching the green paint that would be the hardest bit.

Hi Paul,

what size are the driving axles? Normal Bachmann 3mm hopefully!

Hi Pete,

Had a quick measure when I got home and they are 3mm.

Been out at all the Gs today, Grosmont for trains, Glaisdale for quoits and Guisborough to pick Mrs WF up from work.

Had an hour this morning and got a crew made up and painted, Andrew Stadden as usual. Also now got a lamp, it does come with lamps but they're a bit chunky and they're white so I thought I might as well paint up a whitemetal one.

Thanks Paul, and sounds like a fun day then. Hope you did well at Glaisdale!
