Hi Nick,

Thanks for that. Did you hear a penny drop where you are? Just spent an hour over breakfast going through your excellent thread then saw your dyserth road mention.

I still remember the excellent feature in Model rail supplement I think it was then many years ago.

Best wishes

Julian.

Julian, yes Dyserth Road was me back in 2003 and it featured in Rail Express Magazine. Back then it was Lima locos with Express Models lighting kits and the odd class 37 sound from South West Digital.

After Dyserth Road I built Holland Park container terminal.

Yes, I too have been looking for a forklift.  I'll get right on that.

John

OK, assume this is the site:

https://www.rustyrail.com/oscaleindex.html

I have been through every category but don't see the fork lift.  No doubt I have missed something.

All American with little crossover for us.  Very nice stuff though.

Hah!  I had the wrong end of the stick as usual.  Thanks for the links.

Order placed.  I'm a bit miffed that postage is more than the product and normally this would be a deal breaker.  However, I don't know of another fork lift model so it's this or nothing.

He dropped another Fork Lift off for me today for another project. Only ordered it yesterday afternoon! Personalized packaging too!

I believe yours is on the way to Canada.

I most instances I would agree, but there are many different sizes forklift out there!

Well, you know the old saying, once bitten twice shy.  Any the kit is on it's way now so that's that.

Mine should land in a week or so.  Yes, Canada.  Nice looking packaging.

Since Brexit, postage seems to have skyrocketed, my impression anyway.

I bought some 1:50 vehicles by accident once.  They are seriously undersize for 1:43.

Another Ellis Clark Trains Presflo in the roster, plain grey this time.

Nice. I only noticed the other day the brake levers are on the wrong way round so wouldn't work as would both turn the crank the wrong way for the brakes. The plain lever should be on the side with the controls. As that photo shows, you cant really see though!

Does anyone know when grey came in? I thought it was TOPS but have seen a grey rake behind a Hall. I'm now wondering if those are actually yellow but completely caked in cement...

Rusty Rails Models recently released an O gauge 3D printed fork lift. Assembled and painted its a great little model, just a bit of weathering to do on on now.

Hi Nick,

Just painting my FLT which arrived yesterday, have you added straps to the cylinder, if so what did you use?

Cheers

Julian.

Yes I added straps. I used 1mm wide masking tape.
