RHTT 2022

Recommended Posts

The South West RHTT travelled down on 23rd September headed by 66069 with 66129 on the rear. Yesterday afternoon while passing St Blazey depot I called in to see if it was parked up. Indeed it was, 66069 standing close to the turntable, its freshly-applied DB red livery and shiny black underframe gleaming in the late afternoon sun. If only I'd had a camera with me to take before-and-after photos........😬!

The RHTT rake was mostly inside the shed being prepared for duty (I could hear a generator running) and 66129, still in tired EWS livery, was poking out the other end, not visible but ticking over.

Just too dull to get it on the way back, but '111 was no longer clean!!

If anyone has any decent photos of RHTT wagons I'd be grateful. I have 2 wagons to weather and the more reference material I have the better - I'd like to do them "in use" but not spray painted brown. The wagons do get some quite characteristic weathering..
