RMweb Gold Bucoops Posted September 24, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 24, 2022 That's the first model train I've seen where the specs include the diameter 😆 Shame it's HO - would need to use Slim Jims and Hastings units after it's done its thing?

As a single bore it would probably take 4DD.
Nearholmer
I wonder whether they were commissioned to make a set for a TBM manufacturer or similar for promo use and have extended the run to sell them on the open market.

Weren't they the TBMs used for HS1 under the Thames, being named after the eponymous ladies in 'Birds Of A Feather'?
Michael Hodgson
Not a bad price for what it is, but I can model the construction project for a lot less just by keeping the mole in its burrow. All I need is a few posters on a hillside reading "Say no to HS2", "NImbys Rule", etc. Much as I like the model, I can't see it selling very well. The gantry crane on the next page isn't bad either.
