I think there's a little something to appeal to most people, Jay.

Lots to inspire.

I would also say in general not to fret should you not finish your layout/exhibit. One of the many great things about the SWAG event is that no-one will mind! In fact, you can always use it to share construction techniques and your vision of what you plan to achieve. That's what makes this event stand out as it attracts those practical modellers as opposed to the armchair experts! FWIW, I enjoy seeing both completed and part-built layouts, as you can learn new skills or get inspired by both.

In any case, something tells me that *Bramble's Boatyard* won't be remotely finished by the time it eventually makes an appearance at SWAG! I haven't even started the baseboards yet...

And therein is the crux of this day out. Modeller to Modeller. The discussion and the exchange of ideas and techniques is as big a part of the day as the looking..........

I’ll also add to put faces to names! I had a lovely time at SWAG last year and look forward to meeting and chatting to some of the good folks on here.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the Members Day, here are some images from last years thread expertly taken by Phil Parker.

From this .......

Note the pilfering hand coming through the hatch, dealt with soon after using the Hornby Dublo Deltic body concealed in Stu's back pocket.

I think that's my hand coming through the hatch, it was Stu's buns I was after....
