There was a news story a few years back about a Women's Institute branch who were booked to have a talk about pirates. Getting into the spirit of things they all turned up in fancy dress.

Then the bloke arrived to do a talk on the harrowing months he spent in the captivity of Somali pirates. Apparently he saw the funny side.
