leavesontheline
Great show and very well attended from what I could see! Really nice variety of layouts and plenty of traders for 'bits and pieces' type stuff plus second hand models. Number of family groups very noticeable and I saw plenty of exhibitors going 'above and beyond' to engage the kids which was nice to see. 1
Tempfix Rich Papper Posted January 14 Tempfix Share Posted January 14 A big thank you to Mark and all involved in the show today. Spend several hours there today with my son and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really good range of layouts and my spending suggests some excellent trade support. RMweb Gold Gilbert Posted January 14 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 14 (edited) There was a cracking selection of layouts and we had a great day with Penmaenbach. It was also good toto see Squires - they got a fair few of my modelling pounds and seemed very busy. We caught up with a lot of old friends and generally had a good time. Thanks to Mark and all his colleagues. Hopefully I'll be asked back to a future show with another of my projects I also have to say my bacon roll at lunchtime was excellent. There are some (as yet uncaptionned) photos here (some from me and some from one of the PMB team): Edited January 14 by Gilbert

alastairb
First time at an exhibition since pre- covid days. Had a great time, very inspired by Penmaenbach. I'll be ordering a SLW Class 24 and 25 after seeing a 24 in the flesh.

woodenhead
@Gilbert Lovely set of photos as usual. Looks like a very high quality exhibition, pity my work doesn't require me in Weston very often these days and never aligned with an exhibition.

Glad you enjoyed the show and thanks for the kind words regarding St Oswalds. The Ruston didn't stay on the layout for long as its unfinished (still awaiting axleboxes, steps and sandboxes from Shapeways) but hopefully, it'll be ready for the next outing at Compton Dundon on 24 February. I made an effort to run all of my locos yesterday, only five of them but it rings the changes. A big thank you to Mark and the team for an excellent show yesterday, the St Oswalds and Abbots Morton gang from Sodbury Vale MRC had a great day. Cheers
