trisonic
A lot of people had his haircut in the UK in the late Fifities/ early Sixties. My Mum wouldn't let me............I always assumed he was Italian but his real name was Bernard Schwartz and was of Hungarian descent. Best, Pete. Southernman46
One cool Dude - always showed a sense of proportion despite his celebrity status Definately going to search the satelite channels for some "Persuaders" re-runs to watch by way of small tribute
RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted October 1, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 1, 2010 I always liked the Persuaders. Likewise. He was a great Hollywood institution. It was unjust that he never got a Oscar.

Pennine MC
Ditto the Persuaders*, although like many I probably became aware of him through my parents watching his earlier work. I always remember him as being more TIC than some of his 'cooler' contemporaries, and his humour was the perfect foil for Roger Moore's 'classic Englishman' character. * Anybody remember the theme tune BTW? Andy Y
* Anybody remember the theme tune BTW? Absolutely. It was essential Friday tea-time viewing as a kid back in the time when you had to watch stuff when the networks put it out. At the time I preferred the AM to the Dino but in hindsight I think that was a bum choice. I recently saw an interesting what-if on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RqiD6HeqoA&feature=related

The theme tune went something like "da-da-dee-da, dum-dum-de-doo"....... It's also the Flintstone's fiftieth anniversary and there is a reference to TC here (point 14) - http://www.telegraph...-dont-know.html which I liked...dilbert

It's on in the car nearly all the time, along with Randall & hopkirk Deceased! The Persuaders dvd box set is worth a punt too, very good. Apart from a few duff episodes it's a joy to watch Nidge
