Satan's Goldfish
Maybe just convert one or buy a 5th and modify that? Converting one and leaving the other's standard would look odd when they're all together in their normal role......and don't let my wife see you encouraging me to buy more tanks While that dilemma keeps me occupied, Warren Lane AC regular 86633 'Wulfruna' very kindly made by Alan finally receives her name plates That does say 'Wulfruna' honest, the camera's just rubbish for close up work! Nameplates and the little logo's above them are from Shawplan. Look out for the now fully named 'Wulfruna' running with one of Alan's other amazing AC creations 87101 'Stephenson' at Portsmouth this November 30th. RMweb Premium GWRPhil Posted November 30, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 30, 2013 Had a really great day with warren lane today at Portsmouth. Was great to meet Ian and his collection of class 50s. Was a great show with plenty of people viewing the layout Here's some pics.
WOMBATTY
Portsmouth was really busy......I think the busiest show this year A big thank you to Mick Dan Matt Phil and Andrea for all the help, its really appreciated. Some highlights for me was Micks Total Rail Replacement Train. It has had some modifications and can now run on the oval version of Warren Lane and is a real crowd pleaser And a special thanks to Ian (Temeraire) who brought some of his class 50's and NSE stock for a play. They looked and ran superb. We now have a bit of a break until our next outing which is Basingstoke next march. Alan and Mags
Classsix T
It's no doubt been a hectic year Alan, but I hope an enjoyable one for you and Mags. The continuing pleasure WL brings to the long term fans and the many new ones gained on each exhibition I hope is some sort of recompense for your efforts. Take care mate and I hope to see you on the circuit next year. C6T.
Ragtag
I do enjoy looking at photos of this layout. Out of interest - is that an Express Models kit in the GNER 91, or something else?

The headlights on the gner 91 are just two lighthouse leds connected to the chip and can be turned off from the headlight function
Satan's Goldfish
Echoing the above, it was a fantastic busy show (lunch was amazing!) and great to meet some new faces, especially Ian and his 50s. Despite taking the camera, no pictures were taken ('cause I'm rubbish!) apart from a couple of poor ones on my phone showing the fantastic job Mick and Dan have done on my rake of Seacows, Limpets, and Shark, now including a Stingray conversion to the first Seacow Many thanks guys, with any luck ballast loads will have been added by Basingstoke. Right, I'm off to hibernate until March....
RMweb Premium Temeraire Posted December 1, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 1, 2013 Morning all I can echo Alan's comments as Portsmouth was certainly a busy show with no space along the front all day, which made getting pics difficult! A big thank you to Alan, Mags and the rest of the gang for letting me play with their train set and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was good to see Warren Lane in its full roundy guise for the first time. I look forward to welcoming you to Exford Park in March during the Basingstoke show weekend. Although busy I did manage to grab a couple of pics that turned out okay. 50003 Temeraire (what else!) has the honour of being the very first Class 50 to appear on Warren Lane followed by my rake of NSE coaches (another first?). Ramilies had a turn on the engineers train too. Finally, Ajax under the wires. Unfortunately all my other pics were too blurred to post so the evidence of the 'dutch' Crompton's appearance will have to wait until March, unless anyone else snapped it? Thanks again all. WOMBATTY
As a lot of people know I have a soft spot for Stratford / Ripple Lane engines circa 1990 The next layout will have a very Eastenders feel about it, With this in mind I have been searching for another blue 37 that would fit the bill. I decided on this one. 37216 Transferred to stratford 1987 here pictured at Ipswich 1990 complete with cockney sparrow. It was repainted green and named Great eastern in 1992 My almost finished version of 37216 I started with the Bachmann 32-781 model as a base I removed the ends and all the windows, and filled in the extra steps with filler. fitted shawplan etched cab windows. Then resprayed the whole thing In a home brew version of faded BR Blue and painted on the cantrail strips After the decals were applied, it was heavily weathered to represent the prototype The ends are modified from another Bachmann 37. The chassis has been rewheeled with Alan gibson EM Gauge wheels (for the new layout) and has a base reflex speaker in the fuel tanks....sound is from ESU v4 courtesy of Legomannbiffo The Engine pictured on Oldshaw There is every chance i will do another 00 gauge chassis for 37216 so it will be seen on Warren Lane when we finally take it back to the late eighties (one day)
