RMweb Premium Kris Posted December 16, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 16, 2011 Given the recent weather in the Atlantic I would not be surprised to find that the ship was delayed.

RMweb Premium newbryford Posted December 16, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Hi Guys, My understanding is that the vessel BBC Colorado should have docked this afternoon in Newport, with the new class 70's on board. Everytime I search for the vessels whereabouts on the live marine tracking site...it keeps on coming up as vessel out of range......any thoughts.? Bob Marine traffic only seems to cover coastal areas, so could be out of reach Cheers, Mick Edited December 16, 2011 by newbryford

Peter Kazmierczak
Understand that the first was was off loaded (I won't say landed...) at 10.30am. Two separate reports give it as being # 70013. Regards, Peter
Peter Kazmierczak
70016 unloaded by noon. Another report suggests the batch is 70014-17 and NOT including 70013. Doubtless this afternoon will clarify matters. Regards, Peeter

RMweb Premium newbryford Posted December 18, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 18, 2011 Does anyone know what traffic these new locos will be allocated to? Heavy haul or intermodal? Cheers, Mick
Peter Kazmierczak
70015 unloaded at 3.05pm. Think they're all Intermodal. Still unsure if 70013 is one of them; looking likely that it is. Peter
RMweb Premium newbryford Posted December 18, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 18, 2011 Smoke and mirrors......... Some say 13-16, others 14-17. All to intermodal or 3 to intermodal/1 to coal. Almost as much fun as a Hornby froth list......... Mick
Peter Kazmierczak
Mick, I suppose a number is just a number at the end of the day. Maybe the 13th off the North American production line became # 70013. Regards, Peter

RMweb Premium newbryford Posted December 18, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 18, 2011 (edited) Mick, I suppose a number is just a number at the end of the day. Maybe the 13th off the North American production line became # 70013. Regards, Peter Yep - Just read somewhere that the 014-17 were listed originally because there were quality control issues with 013 in the US, so it was assumed that the 4 locos were 014-017, but 013 was sorted by the time they were despatched from the factory. In which case 017 is possibly a figment of someone's imagination! The dockside report on gegen seems certain that 70013 is here. Cheers, Mick (I need to do some modelling) Edited December 18, 2011 by newbryford
RMweb Premium newbryford Posted December 19, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) http://www.wnxx.com/pictures/70014.htm 70 013-016 confirmed. Latest story rumour is that 017-020 will arrive via Liverpool. Hmmm - a 70 on bricks.... Cheers, Mick Edited December 19, 2011 by newbryford
