br2975
if only it was easy to come across the back issues ! I don't know how some of these plans would scan as pdf documents. Reading thro' the list I have spotted a few omissions e.g a Hunslet 'flameproof' 0-4-0D for the NCB which I know I have from a 1950s MRN or MRC, but can't put my finger on it ! Adrian
For info, addition, I've just acquired an excellent G.A drawing of the postwar 100h.p. Sentinel loco. "The Model Engineer" 11th. br2975
Both of these are wrong. The first one (MD&HB) is also listed under MR for the same month. This one has no drawings in it. RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted April 3, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 3, 2012 You're probably all tired of me butting in, but here are some further additions. Colombo
Has anybody seen a drawing of a Hudswell Clarke 0-4-0 Diesel Mechanical like Mary on the Middleton Railway. Mary is D577 of 1932. Similar locos are D628, Sparky, D 629 Mighty Atom and D631 Carol. I would like to build a model of Mary in 4mm scale. Regards, Colombo

Similar locos are D628, Sparky, D 629 Mighty Atom and D631 Carol. I would like to build a model of Mary in 4mm scale. Regards, Colombo I've been looking for 30 years without success! Got to the Leeds Industrial museum a bit too late as access to the HC drawings had only just been blocked as a result of ownership claim by, and subsequent transfer to, the new Hunslet Engine Co. Do let me know if you have any luck.
Colombo
Osgood, Its not just me then wanting HC drawings, that's a relief. I am in touch with Statfold Barn at present but it seems that they only have odd drawings of things like window frames. No General arrangements have been found yet. If you study the records and the photos, they hardly built any the same except for the batch that went to New Zealand and the BR locos. My next step is to go to the Middleton Railway and measure up Mary. There are plenty of photos of Mary, so if I get the principal dimensions, I should be able to fill in the rest. Maybe OK in 4mm scale, but probably not good enough for 7mm. Colombo
jetmorgan
Just for the info of everyone here and following this topic, I'm currently buying up copies of old Model Railway Constructor and Railway Modeller magazines from the 1960's, 70's, 80's & 90's and scanning articles pages and plans and I do have some of these already scanned as PDF's...I've already got the Manning Wardle M class so if anyone is interested then let me know and I'll see if I have those plans and I can email them to you. The magazines then go off to my brother for sale on the sales stand for the either the Southern electric Group or the EPB preservation group...I can never remember which

jetmorgan
Are you just buying up industrial locomotive drawings or are you also buying up mainline locos to? Hello Farren No I'm not just scanning Industrial stuff I have mainline locos, coaches and wagons as well, Diesel & Electric as well as steam. Even articles about stations, station buildings...all sorts of stuff. I'm still busy with scanning at the moment but I do hope to post a list of the stuff I have at the moment. I'm still buying up copies of Railway Modeller & Model Railway Constructor so will still have lots to do. And if anyone has just ordered their Hornby P2 2-8-2 I have plans for that and it's sister P1 2-8-2. So if you are after anything in particular message me directly and I'll see what I've got. Hedfordtfc
Late to the party Brian (BR2975) but your efforts at the stsrt of the thread are appreciated by me at least. I am interested in the RSH 0-6-0s which worked at Hams Hall power station nesr Birmingham but these seem pretty "draughtsman shy" from a published drawing perspective
