Hi Darren

I've not finished as yet crane need to do the fiddely bits. I'm very pleased with the lighting unit and it is unusual. I've got to concentrate on more detailing on the layout now.

You now you are welcome round.

Her to be obayed and I, we went for a walk the other day and I picked up some sticks to go in the timber yard and I got a little boared so I cut the sticks into small lenghts and glued them in bundales and put them in the timber yard.

I have done some photos of the of the logs in the timber yard.

Hi,

Some great pictures that really capture the atmosphere from the angle you've taken them from.

I agree with Oldlubbers about the shot through the bridge.

Look forward to the next batch of pictures.& keep up the good work,

Cheers Bill

Utterly charming, with a convincing sleepy, rural, atmosphere. The last pic through the bridge is particularly successful.

Hi Olddubbers and Bill

When I started this layout I was taking my photos on a sumsung camera and one day I thought I would take some photos in stead of going for the camera I went for my phone and took the pic with the phone and that they was better then the camera, and also better for the low shots.

Glad you like the pics and the layout.

The layout's looking marvellous; it doesn't seem that long ago I was picking holes in your first trackplan!

If I can achieve something half as good, I'll be very happy

Hi Keith

Yes I do remember that with track plan you gave some good ideas, I think if you put your mind to it and a bit of planning you'll be surpriced what you could do.

Thanks for your comment.

I've put on a coalman carrying a sack and some sacks with scales I had got from Langley models at the weekend at the Ally Pally.

I also put on some flower heads on the grass.

Hi Ray,

Once again, cracking photos mate, you've really got the atmosphere spot on.

The coalman & weighing scales really look the part, & once you get the forklift planted it'll really bring it to life.

The flowers have certainly added to the overall effect, & well done, once again.

Are you going to try to give it a 'backing track'? Because it would be smashing to have a bit of bird song & countryside sounds.

I reckon you'll enjoy your break mate, but knowing you, I suppose you'll have some bits & bobs to get on with tucked away!

See you soon buddy, & have a good time.

All the best,

Rob

Hi Rob

Thanks for your comments Rob. Yes I am still thinking of the back ground of the country side sounds but not sure were to get the sound track from. Been into Buffers yesterday, nice peaple in there offered me a cup of tea as soon as I walked in the shop, I got two Dapol wagon kits to do while I am away in the caravan plus the once I had brought with me, I won't get bord .

Those flowers Ray are the icing on the cake mate, they just complete it perfectly.

Cheers

Anthony

Hi Ray.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your break, shame you don't have last week's weather though!

I'm sure that the inside of your caravan will be a hive of modelling activity, & the trip to Buffers sounds like a nice way to spend an afternoon.

I'll be interested to see the finished offerings from Dapol, because I was thinking of getting a few myself.

I didn't manage to get to the club this week due to a vicious attack of 'man-flu', no. don't laugh, it really laid me low!

I'll be fighting fit for the Ilfracombe show on Saturday, so I'll drop in on Darren & Torrington.

Enjoy yourselves buddy, & make the most of the unseasonal weather!

Cheers

Rob

I've been working on operating Yard Shunter on my laptop from my Ipod.

I downloaded JRMI on to my laptop and made a skimatic of Yard Shunter on my computer and I have setup a WiFi connection using an old router to my Ipod and computer after downloading a Withrottle app from Itunes onto my Ipod to control Loco's and my turnouts on Yard Shunter. It all goes through my NCE Power Cab to the layout.

The idea is to control Yard Shunter any where around the layout with out wires around my ankles.

l had two hours playing on Yard Shunter with my laptop and Ipod and it as worked with out trouble. The only thing is the battery in the Ipod will only run for a couple of hours but it does not take long to recharge by connecting it in to the USB port on the laptop, so when it is being recharged I can use the Power Cab hand hand throttle.

Hi Ray

looks very good all you need now is a few camera set up and you could run it from your arm chair!

Darren

Hi Darren
