A couple more trucks:-  firstly a modified Schuco Merc on a 4 wheel flatbed  just picked up a load of treated timber from Leaford Distribution Depot and secondly:- a Base Toys Leyland T45 Roadtrain Cab mounted on a Knightwing Volvo F10 chassis being unloaded in the yard.

Cheerio for now.

  • 1 month later...

Had a couple of hours at Leaford Yesterday, spent more time chatting and putting the modelling world to right, rather than running trains.  Did give my 33102 and 4TC a little run from Leaford Town to Leaford Junction.

The changes that Hampshire Hog is doing to the layout are great (especially like how Leaford Millway Road station is developing)

I like the 33/1 + 4TC. That's a long term modelling aspiration of mine.

Mine too. 33/1 and 4TC, what an excellent combination. Some excellent shots there.

The 4TC is an old Southern Pride kit (sadly no longer produced). The Blue and Grey with NSE flashes is spot on for Leaford's timescale. Every time I run the train it takes me back to Poole high street level crossing in the eighties, and watching the 33 + 4TC's heading for Weymouth.

I am such an idiot :fool:

For some reason, I'd always thought this was 7mm, and given it a swerve, but with a fairly easy shift at work I thought 'I might as well have a flick through it'.

I can't believe I've missed 37 pages of fantastic 4mm modelling!

Hi Kev, sorry not been up to do the plan but I hear Nigel has covered most of it :) Work's a bit all over the place. Was hoping to pop up one day this week but I've had two changes already!

Hi Kevin

Thanks for the hospitality and company last night. I very much enjoyed my time allocated to the docks area and limited to macros 60-63 - about my limit.

I really love the three (and a half if you include Millway) in one layout.

A couple of shots I managed to grab of the goings on....

Many thanks for the excellent video Phil, I will have to get a new dusting brush though - sorry about that!! Look forward to seeing you soon.

Here is one of my photos (although my Kodak EasyShare struggles to match your camera/phone Phil) of 31414 entering the Port of Leaford.

Cheerio for now.

I see the dock side is taking shape, and that the builders have quickly knocked up some houses on top of the tunnels - fast workers.
