I don't suppose you have the BBA wagon he modelled fitted with with bolsters and loaded with steel re-bar do you? I'm looking at doing one of these myself. Cheers

Cheers Hello Wayne, unfortunately I don't have the wagon you have mentioned - from your description it sounds as if I would like it. Since the above has re-appeared I have been doing some thinking!!! Hampshire Hog
Many thanks Kev looks the dogs that does! Nice other shots too, i'd never thought of puting different bogies besides the smaller GPS on Warflats do you have pics of these wagons with the y25c and Gloucester old bogies on also the builder of the tank does he do commision wagons atall? Hello Rich, Four of my Warflats are built from Genesis kits and the rest are built from scratch out of Plasticard, the original bogies proved to be problematic when running carrying the heavy weight of the cast kits body so they were replaced with what I had laying around spare at the time, and using what is laying about spare was the reason they went under the scratch ones as well, Cambrian ones are cheap, reliable and easy to build. Incidently I have had one modern Warflat body 3D printed with good results I will post a picture asap. I do not think that Steve does commisions I will see if I can find out. I have also been building other wagons, this one photographed is a "Black Adder" using Cambrian running gear and other bits. Many thanks for your kind comment Shed. Cheerio for now.

Hampshire Hog
Kev, That Black Adder has turned out lovely, when are you going into mass production? Hi Nige, I will do some more, but, as you can see from the photo below I need to get the sticky chevroned paper to stick better first, I wonder Nige would the paper stick better if on a gloss finish? Also a "Salt Wagon" nears completion - just awaiting decals and weathering. Many thanks for the loan of the originals. See you soon. Kevin
Wayne 37901
Hampshire Hog, Have you thought about using striped transfers rather than sticky paper? I know Fox Transfers market some intended for modelling a BTU. Cheers,

Hampshire Hog
"Incidently I have had one modern Warflat body 3D printed with good results I will post a picture asap". Here are some pictures of a prototype 3D printed Warflat body that I have had done. And along side my scratch built model that served as a master for it, this model is fitted with Cambrian Bogies and Appleby buffer beams and jacks but other manufacturers bogies and perhaps Gramodels buffer beams and jacks (kit Number 401a) could be used, PM me for more information. Best regards. Kevin
Melangoose
If you are having problems with the Matt vinyl sticking, as previously mentioned the Fox Transfer idea is probably the way forward. I think you should change your Rmweb name to Millway Wagon Workshop.
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted February 3, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 3, 2017 Ooh I like the Warflat Kevin Why not add the bufferbeams to the print?
Hampshire Hog
Ooh I like the Warflat Kevin Why not add the bufferbeams to the print? Cheers Paul, the body in the photo is the first prototype and modifications have to be done before I do a fully fitted model, i.e. coupling and bogie mounting points also it was slightly warped when first done.. Melangoose said, "If you are having problems with the Matt vinyl sticking, as previously mentioned the Fox Transfer idea is probably the way forward.I think you should change your Rmweb name to Millway Wagon Workshop". Thanks Nige, I have done exactly that and the Fox transfers arrived yesterday and have been applied, as pictured below, also pictured another salt wagon. Again my thanks to Wayne37901 Unfortunately I managed to break off the lifting lugs whilst applying the transfers, I must use a smaller hammer next time. Kevin.
owentherail
Hi Kevin, Going back to an old picture on here, your fantastic car transporters!! Have you put metal wheels on them? I've a few car transporters and can't find metal wheel sets for them, my usual source has retired! Owen.
Hampshire Hog
Hi Kevin, Going back to an old picture on here, your fantastic car transporters!! Have you put metal wheels on them? I've a few car transporters and can't find metal wheel sets for them, my usual source has retired! Owen. Hello Owen, yes I have put metal wheels on my car transporter (9mm dia Jackson Evans? from Mainly Trains) but as they are the best part of thirty years old (goodness me!!) I have the same problem as yourself, I think metal wheels sets are still available from Gibson and also Marcits but I am not sure that 9mm dia will be available, they have to be 9mm dia to reduce the overall height of the Hornby model to a more in-gauge appearance especially when loaded. Also I have attached to this post a couple of pictures of some modified Oxford Diecast models after being inspired by the Ford Transits done by PaulRHB, many thanks Paul. See you soon.
