5Bel
Hi All, I have been building kits now for probably 25 years. I went into the loft last week to sort some stuff out and got a bit sidetracked. I started to dig out some of the kits that I have started over the years and so far have not finished. I am sure that most of us have a kit backlog like this, so putting some pics of mine might kickstart me into finishing them. Blacksmith 4SUB DC Kits 6S Brittania Pacific 4Bep Lima 117 conversion. DC Kits 119 Millholme Unrebuilt Merchant Navy. Hornby 1951 Golden Arrow Pullman conversion. One day I will get round to finishing them. Feel free to add some of your longterm unfinished models. Cheers for now, Ian

RMweb Gold PhilH Posted December 6, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 6, 2009 Not a kit but a 5" gauge LSWR O2 0-4-4t that I started building in 1982 (I think). It suffered considerable damage in the Great Unnoticed Workshop Roof Leak debacle in which I lost a few hundred pounds worth of tools and other bits and bobs to water damage. Was put in a cupboard late eighties and has only just seen the light of day again for possible refurbishment / completion.

Ravenser
However calculating the dates, call up papers and post war material shortages may have had something to do with that.

Burkitt
My grandfather started his model railway with his father at some point in the thirties. It went through various incarnations over the course of his life, and I inherited it a few years ago. At no point over that 70-odd year period has it been finished. These photos show the more complete end of it and an overview of the whole thing at his house before it was moved. Paul
