EBay madness

Anyone wondering about Gostude's latest scams should leaf through the large pile of unbuilt kits that he is now offering. Best example for me is the M&L Hawksworth "County" plus wheels for £189.50. He is also offering Dave Alexander kits for a lot more than Mr. Alexander himself charges!!

BTW, has anyone been able to discover the true identity of Gostude, or would that simply be too expensive a task?

I have been advised by a regular toy and train auction attendee that he seems to pay top dollar (even well over the odds) for job lots in order to block others out for his onward selling.

It must be a good business model for him as he seems to have many happy clients.

It never ceases to amaze me that buyers don't bother to research first, as Ivan has said some items, like the Dave Alexander kit, which can be acquired more cheaply direct from him!

Oh that has made me choke with laughter, and yet people are paying money for this stuff.

Unbelievable, isn't it? Some people are such shameless charlatans I honestly don't know how they sleep at night.

Do you think any buyer is expecting a pack of Viagra with the purchase?

Or maybe the current owner ran out of steam? :D

"Have to much flower grape" - is that their way of saying they've been on the elderflower wine? :scratchhead:

Free P&P sounds good I could do with a bigger garden but don't want to move house at the moment! :jester:

The plot sounds interesting, but the insertion lacks the vital info., "Where is it?" One assumes location 'Thame' gives an idea, but that covers quite a large area

The free p&p probably comes from eBay's irritating default/can't over-ride settings. I couldn't find how to set "collection only" on my last sale.

Well it is well packed in if it is only 0.24 acre as this is a smallish building plot size so to have 450 + trees etc there will be no land to see at all and there is only a few trees in the photo.

No previous feedback as a seller yet his first item is for £10,000 BIN.

Some of his previous purchases were for seeds of various types.  Perhaps he has planted all those trees, but they have yet to grow!!

Ten grand? That's one hell of a first sale! (and a lot of commission to eBay...)
