EBay madness

It looks like they missed when they threw it in the bin and it ended up on eBay instead - maybe worth a tenner for the chassis?

Well, you can't argue with the description.

It has definitely been ..... erm...... modified.

Sadly it's typical of a few pieces of carp that this model shop is trying to dump on people.

Still, it's a business and if they've acquired it they've got to try and offload it.

:O Someone is selling Hornby on ebay!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby/221929228789?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D33957%26meid%3Dce4a027a05164ba4a055472af1aa3095%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D351548440756

A whole train manufacturing company for only £18!

But sadly not.

All the other items the person are selling have the same title. Why do people do this?

Quite like the black Alfa 156...shame I've already got one on our layout...

The same seller (which I think may be Brassmasters!) also sells the Finney GW cabside plates, which regularly go stratospheric even though Brassmasters only sell them direct for £2.50. I fancy buying a small batch and then flogging them on eBay to see what happens.... :jester:

There is a Bachmann large logo 47 " professional re number" on eBay...... I would want my money back, numbers way too big, glue by name plate and 47546 did not have flush ends either.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-Class-47-47546-Aviemore-Centre-Large-Logo-Livery-DCC-Ready-/141818158731?hash=item2105055e8b:g:~ckAAOSwniRWN13m

I presume?

At least it's unique!

Possibly, one is one too many....

Still someone thought it worth well over £30. (One bid for it many times, but still didn't win it! - never bid a round figure)

Not for the RivIt counter?

"Dear e-Bayer,

As spokesfrog for the Aquatic Railway Society (A.R.S) who represent the railway modellers of the aquatic underworld I must protest at your Froggist advert saying that rivit counters should not apply. The members of our Frog section are some of the most passionate modellers around and for those burdened with ORCS (Obsessive Rivit Counting Syndrome) who spend their lives noting down every time they cry out "Rivit" modelling is a form of therapy. Your advert is discriminatory on two counts, against frogs whose only form of communication is to cry "rivit" and against sufferers of ORCS.

Of course, if you are an idiot who can't spell "rivet" (a means of joining two metal sections) then I apologise but suggest you invest your e-Bay winnings in a new dictionary.

Yours,

Kermit"

There are quite a few who can't.

True, although normally I don't comment but this time I couldn't resist making a joke out of it especially as I often see a post coming up about a "Hex Frog Juicer" which sounds like something a witch or warlock would use to make frog smoothies. I'm sure it's not, but every time I see it listed I have this vision of the Witches from Macbeth demonstrating one on late night telly-selly channels.
