RMweb Gold big jim Posted December 12, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 12, 2021 If your going to sell something for £20 at least take then original price label off! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-38-100B-34-Ton-PNA-Ballast-spoil-Wagon-7-Rib-Railtrack-/185210800709?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 3
Mol_PMB
This is taking the concept of selling an empty box to extremes... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324695913279?hash=item4b9962733f:g:K40AAOSwtVRg20qc Am I missing something? Why does putting a face on a crude model of a 9F make it worth over £1500? Several sellers seem to think it does. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203711652222?epid=1605265390&hash=item2f6e29217e:g:DK4AAOSwp09hnRFg 2

Unfortunately, my Hymek was used as intended (on a train set), by it's intended audience (me, as a child). If it ran well and still had its horns I could probably (based on the prices the last time I looked) sell it for the best part of £300. 1

And as for the dozen unused price tags, I should think you could probably make money buying them as a job lot lot and selling them individually at £100a time, and the box they came in would be a bonus.

RMweb Gold ikcdab Posted December 12, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 12, 2021 Is this really how much these things go for...? That's the final auction price, by the way. Wish I had a shelf full of those. 1

MrWolf
We'll, I do wish I had a shed full of mass produced toys that I could talk up into a bidding frenzy amongst "investment buyers". I'd have no moral qualms about punting them out in a trickle at that money until the market could no longer be sustained. 2

RMweb Gold Darius43 Posted December 13, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 13, 2021 Very good, boxed condition. Apart from the cabs being upturned a little and being very cracked. The only thing possibly salvageable is the sound decoder but it alone is not worth the asking price. Cheers Darius 2

MrWolf
Pete Waterman has done very well out of the godawful music inflicted on my generation of kids. Who says crime doesn't pay? Then I have to let him off because he at least blows his cash on trains? 1
