leopardml2341
To lighten the tone somewhat - can't post a link because the item's ended but last night 8 packs of Hornby track pins were bid up to £13.00 ?!?!?!?!?
rodshaw
I'd want at least some decent scenics, if nothing else on these two 'professionally built' offerings at the prices asked. The buildings must be rare, they are by that little-known firm Metclaff Models.
RMweb Gold RFS Posted February 19, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 19, 2013 This one you mean (displayed by selecting "completed listings")? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-oo-gauge-8-packs-of-track-fixing-pins-r-702-/121065671930?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item1c30138cfa&nma=true&si=%252F4e1WtMgZtW6pZq8sF4hWOFhI%252FE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Hatton's price is £2 per pack so there's a slight saving there, but even so that's an awful lot of track pins! RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted February 19, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 19, 2013 I'm guessing another free listing weekend passed me by. Il Grifone
Anyone want a "hard to find" part assembled Kitmaster coach? (No? Didn't think so!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROSEBUD-KITMASTER-No-R13-B-R-COMPOSITE-COACH-KIT-PART-BUILT-BOXED-/400336047142?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item5d35e34c26 Collectors would want them unassembled (preferably still in their Cellophane!) and modellers would't want to pay £37.50*. (There are better and cheaper Coopercraft kits or Bachmann R-T-R for a start.) * Especially for this one, which has incorrect window spacing that requires correction. Il Grifone
There will be once they come back into production...... They were on sale last time I looked*, but I don't think it alters my argument, there are always the Bachmann R-T-R (not to mention large quantities of other Kitmasters at more reasonable prices). *Listed for sale at the moment. I assume the production problems are only temporary. Edited February 20, 2013 by Il Grifone
