Catkins
http://www.ebay.co.u...7#ht_500wt_1413 Somebody has actually bought this cut and shut? i know that we should have a sense of humour as modellers, but I nearly died when I saw the price!! :
Catkins
Can I just throw in a sober note here, some people will bid anything for a model if it means something to them. i used to live round the corner from the wife of a former shed master at Finsbury Park, if I saw a model of the 47 that was so named, then I would be willing to bid "silly" money on it. Catkins
HI One thing wrong with this , Finsbury park used to paint their roofs silver. Darren - It was Stratford that painted the roofs silver, Finsbury Park painted white frames on deltics - the 47's came in blue/Large Logo/intercity/Swallow with no variations. also by the time any 47's carried Finsbury Park, the depot had closed! - not that I've done much reaserch

Catkins
On the subject of 'E-bay Madness' there are the times when it goes the other way, and somethings go for seriously low prices! I can't get over the TWO Lima 60s that I got for £41.00.

RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted November 23, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 23, 2011 Another optimist. Keith Ah but it's our old friend Mr Micmcn (of Cartmel) who has had, at the last count, this http://www.ebay.co.u...=item45fd68d591 thing for sale 3 to 4 years now! As I have previously posted that I put one up at the same time as him and got around £1.50 for it, and the buyer wasn't even happy with his purchase so I gave him his money back, which in a perverse way gave me some satisfaction!
