Guest eddie reffin
Aye, 4 house moves in 5 years ain't conducive to productive modelling lol. At least I have the time, means and space to finally get a proper workbench on the go. Really liking the roof weathering on the GUV, the patches of peeling paintwork are excellent. blueeighties
The workload and amount of stock coming in means there seems to be ever more stuff lying around on the benches. After a few strong cups of coffee and some headscratching, a plan has been devised to create some slightly better organised above bench storage cubby holes. The first job was to have a rethink about all of the power/programming systems I need to use. They are currently scattered all over the office. We have, A Powercab with 5 amp booster for testing 7mm stuff Sprog ESU Lokprogrammer conventional 12v dc 12v dc testing feed. 006 by rothburyuk, on Flickr These have all been moved to the same underbench area, and a form of switching devised so that I can switch between either one, and select any of the 2mm, 4mm, or 7mm test tracks. The test tracks are also going to be moved to an area above the monitor you can see in the pictures. This is the area where the test track will go, and a load of cubby holes to store all of the daily crap that has to be used. 002 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Some of the crap that ends up sprawled across the bench on a daily basis! 001 by rothburyuk, on Flickr
blueeighties
Another days graft has the bulk of it in! Still some further cubby holes to add, but the bulk of it is there. 002 by rothburyuk, on Flickr The new test tracks 009 by rothburyuk, on Flickr All programming systems and power supplies wired up and fully switchable 006 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 010 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Some of the powered stuff that has tricky to reach sockets are now all remote powered. 014 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 012 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Now on with the graft!

Guest eddie reffin
Just looking at the pic that is on your monitor and recognise it as my home town of Oban! Really liking the work bench, hope it stays that organised.
RBE
Great work as always Lee. My favourite over the last few pages has been the GUV with the flakey roof. Class. Eddie you are lucky, I love the Oban area. I holiday up there pretty much every year on the Isle of Seil. I would move there in a heartbeat if I had work I could do up there! Guest eddie reffin
I have been back a few times in the last fortnight visiting my father who has been in hospital. Would be good to move back but I am lucky enough to drive four of the nicest routes in Scotland and couldn't imagine driving one route and one type of traction for the rest of my days! The GUV is superb. It really captures the work stained look of an everyday anonymous vehicle.

Waveydavey
Seeing your Heljan 26 has spurred me on to do another bit of filing on mine. Interesting that you have chosen to make complete new doors. What thickness of plasticard did you use? I just filled the window blanks but may look at new doors instead as I'm not completely happy. Replacement doors with the window filled in and the door handles relocated are available as spares from Howes. Cheers David
