Class 37 sound chips RTR

I dont keep up with whats new these days so was wondering what i Have misssed?

 

 

If one wants to purchase or have a chip re-blown, the list of class 37 options is as such (in no particu;ar order)

 

 

 

Costal DCC

 

Howes

 

SWD

 

Dc kits

which of the above can be re-blown on to v3.5 (2 min) chips and which are better suited to the new V4 chips?

If v4 what are the advantages ?

 

I am trying to keep it slightly simpler by sticking with Esu, only as i have lokprogramer which i only use to move sound slots onto required F keys.

If you are going to stick with Loksound then contact dc kits, you will find Biffs sounds on this link.

You need to hear Biffs sound chip in the flesh [so to speak], I do have the 37/0 and 37/4 and they are simply the best available on a Loksound chip by far........

Bif's 37 does sound very good and the different start ups are what appeals to me.

 

I presume thats V4 only so looks like another new cl 37 chip will be needed there?

Yes, it's v4 only I'm afraid. The v3.5 chip doesn't have the space for all these extra sounds, nor the ability to have different start-ups and departures etc.

Bif's v4 stuff is VERY good. Making good use of the extra memory and not just reloading v3.5 stuff as some other sound providers have done.

Ive had few of my v3.5 chips re blown by howes,with some realy good 37 sounds!! and ive also had few of my new v4 chips done by Howes too,which sound realy crisp!! also have both 37/0 and now 37/4 legomanbiffo v4 37 sounds too
