Popular Post john flann
Sud-shedded from Weymouth to Hintock the 27XX spends its days pottering up and down the Hintock Branch between Hintock Junction and Port Bredy. Here, seen in the 1930's it's shunting Hintock Farmer's Trading Society siding in Sheepcroft Yard.

john flann
OO9, Don't knock your efforts. We all get better with time-it's a long learning experience. The thing is to keep trying. I look forward to seeing more. All good wishes. 2

Boris
No.2 Sir Haven idles out of the goodyard The efforts of a teenager, I might add, with ones first scratchbuilt loco. Pretty bad crap, I know, but I like it. The problem with photos is often they can be cruel to what are in fact excellent models, don't be so close to your model and don't light it quite so harshly, the shadows make things look wonky when they aren't. It's actually a really good model.
john flann
And, if you prefer the 27XX in colour (see post #2870) here it is. I think there is something to be said about either version. Edited December 27, 2014 by john flann
RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted December 28, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 28, 2014 John - I hope you don't mind me taking a liberty with one of your shots. I've done no more than crop the bottom to eliminate the baseboard. 15
john flann
Rick, not at all, thank you. It improves the composition very much. I like it. I do have the means to crop, but it never seems to work for me. I must try harder and master the art. All good wishes.
RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted December 29, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 29, 2014 John you should credit yourself with the feedback I am getting for that shot. It's your work (modelling and photography) in all but the crop.
john flann
Generous Rick; but we wouldn't be enjoying the image if it weren't for your initiative, inspiration and imagination. So honours even. John.
