Hi Paul, you certainly know how to paint up a bufferstop, how's about a write up for all those people that don't.

Found it, the following appeared in the EMGS newsletter a couple of years ago.

 

This shows the cast bracket type treated the same way although there is quite a lot more wood to paint and being in the mine yard I haven't painted the iron plate on the beam, these are free standing and don't need mounting on a sleeper base.

I've always found a decent pair of buffers always improves one's outlook.
