Perfect, thats a date, meet you by the man with a table of yellow things.

Yeah, I know the man you speak of, usually has shades on due to the amount of "yellow" lying about.

I'll be wearing my stand number on my shirt.....

And yes, I know it's not yellow, I have to wear dark coloured clothing, so I don't blend in...................

Cheers,

Mick

I've done a "counting" and I reckon this is set 12.5.

0.5 as I built 3 modules for A.NOther person, so a half set.....

Permission to say "WIBBLE" very loudly ?

I guess the advantage of the half set is that I've missed out 13 ?

Yep, it's been a while, remember me ?

Have been very busy at work which tends to sap my enthusiasm after work and at the weekends......

Throw in my obsession with the gym these days and looking after my car..... modelling tends to take a back seat.

But, hay ho, have done some concentrated hours these past 2-3 days.

I've always been hankering after the North Wales RHTT set, or the one that runs from Carlisle to Newcastle.

It's more painful than some of the others: 3 wagons, 8 water tanks....... but I've done the graft now.....

LOTS of filing to get 8 water tanks done. Just a few more detail parts then the whole lot can have a bath before priming.

Beer ?

I may as well come clean... it's not an RS4. Always wanted one but couldn't afford.

Have an RS3 8V in Railfreight Grey - so almost as quick and maybe a bit more stealthy !

Quick coat of Autoglym extra gloss (other polishes are available) today, it's now raining on it so it will be covered in Saharan sand tomorrow morning.....

Here's my old beast, what a beautiful colour she was:

And here's the new one (a year old now). Neighbours like it...

The Carlisle circuit that covers Blackpool/Preston/S&C/Windermere etc is a 3 wagon/8 tank set. It used to be 5 tansk/2 wagons in the first year or so until it kept running out of water.

Cheers,

Mick

That's one the Mick.

I've been putting it off due to the building factor.... plus it's not as exciting as the ones with the sandite modules in my view.

Should look good, when finished........ 2016?17?18?

Looking good Nick!

Kind of moving from DRS blue to Railfreight there, very nice indeed!

Modelling therapy tonight.... some soothing music (Hope Sandoval) and some concentration on the task at hand.....

Various silver bits picked out and a start made on the instrument panel on the jetting module.post-1261-0-09121000-1479158100_thumb.jpg

They do look very plain until the transfers go on.

Saw 66720 today in a totally unrecognisable state on an RHTT working. I don't fancy covering that model in all over track dirt....

Hmmm, long break....

Andy7 and Sam SDW7300 to thank for spurring me on to have a go on two small projects.

A pair of RBA wagons in DB red.

One or more MXA conversions from a BDA.

The RBAs are easy enough, need to finish with transfers:

The BDAs, more of a challenge building the boxes, but satisfying none the less:
