We've just spotted Peter Hazell that dodgy looking postman delivering a parcel.£7 postage on a tin of paint to that couple in the large house. That's the Royal Mail for you....

Incidently, word in the village is that the residents who live over yonder of the bank are miffed the landowner didn't upgrade their patch at the same time as the others. They've complained and we'll wait and see what develops.

I'm not poor.I'm rich with enthusiasm for modelling Gods Wonderful Railway with all my mistakes in all their glory.

It will be on a passenger express shortly and I'm not changing them around for a quick freight request. ;)

You can change the lamps? How are they fixed?

I'm sure we all wish that Robin's layout was portable, so that it can be admired by a wider audience in the flesh.....

Now, harnessing RMWeb's special powers, Mr Stationmaster has conjoured up a portal from 'Brent' to RailEx!

And using even more special powers Mr Stationmaster has seen Robin's layout 'in the flesh' (and his knees remember it very well).

I've glued them and don't want to dislodge them.

Evening Robin,

Oooohh! That doesn't sound good.  I think a trip back to Newton is in order for repairs.

Sorry to hear that.  Are we talking attention by the Margate or Barwell fitters?

hornbyandbf3fan, down in Devon many expresses were split at either Exeter or Newton Abbot, to go onto Plymouth and Penzance or to the Torbay line, so one would imagine in the winter timetable that they could well have been 3 or 4 caoches long. Remember that the GWR and WR liked to to call many trains expresses.

Any chance of an out of area (?) 56xx on a short mineral working?

CoY

I can do it but we better ask the boys opinion first. :mosking:

Something definitely allowed is Laira based 3864 on a down coal train.Behind her is the area I'm planning on revamping next if I can get some more scenic mats. ;) I'm also going to try and save the seafoam trees for reuse after a bit of tlc.

This was added to my little collection yesterday - or rather it will be next week probably once it's paid for - acquired on commission bid at auction.  Now what were you saying about a 'Bulldog' Rob?

http://www.specialauctionservices.com/large/ty300513/lot0894-0.jpg

Here it is again - duly arrived on our dining room table this afternoon. Not tested as yet (will do that next week after I've collected something from Trelowarren St in Camborne ;) ). It has the closest engine tender coupling I have ever seen, must be pretty close to scale!  Provided I can find some plates it will be undergoing genetic modification to become 'Skylark' (3454) which was a Reading engine and the final survivor of the class - no smokebox door numberplate but it did have a shedplate and was probably in GW livery under the filth; it won't quite match my target period but it won't be far off so I could do a bit of time bending.
