RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted November 26, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 26, 2016 Perhaps as many as I need pannier tanks. Well, I don't need any pannier tanks to survive, although it would be good to come up with a recipe for the surplus ham mountain. Mind you, I always want lots of panniers! Ham and pea soup (notice I wrote pea not ###) + lentils. Very nice. I have a recipe as you know and it isn't P4 and has not been featured in Gasworks Monthly. Stephen Freeman
The remains of their Bank Accounts. P Oh dear......... P What remains? Turnover down 2% I read and losses up from £4.5m to £4.7m, so I have read. .Obvously need to do something. Not sure stopping shop concessions, will be enough or indeed the right thing to do.. But debt heftily reduced. I think ending concessions (except perhaps the one at Locomotion) is a long overdue as the ones I've seen never seem to move any stock so there is a whopping great debt hanging round Hornby's neck if they all happen to be like that so they'll now get the stock back and gradually shift it through the retail trade and their direct sales and that will help the balance sheet.. RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted November 26, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 26, 2016 I reckon Hornby's new 'boss' will turn things around. A fresh approach to 'business' will be a very positive step. Let's face it, the quality of most of their stuff is now top notch, especially the coaches. I think we are very lucky people at this time so long live the MR production Companies; hang in there please. Phil

cary hill
.... but the security guard that apprehended me today must have been confused.Although I did have some stollen goods in my trolley. .............there's always one selfish idiot that spoils it for everybody else.......... RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted November 26, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) It will be interesting to see the comparison with the new Hornby toad and the old Bachmann version.Q4 2017 is the date given and it's interesting that Hornby have chosen 'Rogerstone' as the Oxford Rail version carries this branding. Ps I think there might be one angry Dutchman at the moment... Edited November 26, 2016 by gwrrob

Andy York toad..jpg BR version. BR version.jpg I have known about it for a long time but was possibly expecting a different diagram as I believe several were under consideration - I did suggest a 'later' one mightn't be bad idea and in wider circumstances maybe it's just as well they didn't proceed with an AA3 This one looks to be excellent and a sensible price for what looks to be on offer.

RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted November 26, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 26, 2016 A superb set of photos Rich. Thanks, very glad to have finally got there in the flesh, just a shame how much has gone! The vicarage road bridge is an interesting one, it looks as though it has a block arch under the deck between each of the cross beams. There is also the remains of an interesting structure to the side of the river bridge, the purpose of which (or original look) i have no idea. County of Yorkshire
I'll certainly be getting the Night Owl in post-war livery (if they get it right), as I certainly don't want the previous livery iteration as colourfully described by this image caption in a recent magazine... P.S - Try not to have an liquid in your mouth when viewing this image! Cheers, CoY Edited November 26, 2016 by County of Yorkshire
