Immingham- Doncaster.

Did they get much traffic? A bold idea to try and get some rail served container traffic in Immingham docks but very short haul to Doncaster Europort.

21 of the 22 IXA-A arrived in York Holgate Sidings behind Colas 56078 https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/class56/ee7c6a3a9 c14.00 on Saturday and are still there (22.00 on Sunday). https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/ixea It's not clear what they are here for, and nothing on the next few days of Realtime Trains to suggest when the rake will move on.

The photos in the press seemed to to indicate reasonable loadings

Hi Jim,

The subway used to be even better when the original trains ran - electrified from cable hauled, when there was the gripper car, and a trailer.  They were only painted on one side, as the other side never got seen by the travelling public - and the smell - ah yes a slightly dank, mushroomy smell from the fungus growing in the tunnel walls.  Last time I visited Glasgow (some years ago) that smell was still present.

Quick heads up for tomorrow (Monday), for anyone on the north wales coast, GBRf are supposedly running a train from tuebrook to penmaenmawr and back, 60087 allocated to it according to other forums, usual caveats apply!

Might see if I can get a route refresh in myself at some point
