North Haston

Hi Chris,

Nasty! Not...

This was the first of my sound chipped locos and it showed.

However - it's been tidied up and now has a different decoder with a sugar cube speaker.

Really sounds the part - even audible over the ride on train that we had behind the layout.

Thanks

, it's more than welcome at North Haston

Current fleet for North Haston stands as follows

2 x high hood Guilford GP40's

1 x Guilford SD35

1 x Guilford GP40-2W

1 x Guilford U23B

1 x Guilford U25B

2 x Pan Am Low nose GP's

1 x Pan Am GP40-2W ( on order)

2 x Pan Am F units ( commissioned)

2 x Connecticut Southern B39-8's

1 x Connecticut Southern SD40-2 ex UP

1 x Connecticut Southern SD40-2 ex Conrail

1 x NECR high hood GP38

4 x NECR low hood GP38's

and

1 F Unit A+B Norfolk Southern

That should be enough to ring the changes at a three day show

But I think a engine depot like Jez's should be the next project

Nice job on the hopper cars!  Would love to attend the show and see your layout in person but I'm on the wrong hemisphere.  Can't wait to see pictures from the show.

Meanwhile, I toiling away on my own layout that's set for its second outing this October.

Thanks,

Damin.

You've got to make more of an effort, I can understand Colin not coming cos he's play trains but being the wrong side of the pond doesn't cut it these days :)

Only joking, I'll try and take photos and post them live 3G permitting

I now have a tripod clamp for the iPhone so I hope to take some video as well

Ah, but I also mentioned that I was busy preparing my own layout for a show next month!  Shouldn't that count as an excuse? :D

Where can I see photos of you're layout?

I've got some photos from the first show posted here, http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/10708.  They are on the second page, scroll down to the comment titled "My First Layout Exhibition -- The Results."  These were taken last March.  They aren't the greatest as I didn't have a chance to take any photos until Sunday afternoon after the show had ended.  By then the Sun was shining directly on the layout, making the lighting quite harsh for my little camera.

Hopefully, I have a chance to take better photos at the next month's show.  BTW, it's the Railroad Prototype Modelers meet on October 17-19.  So if you're not busy playing trains, then you have no excuse for not crossing the pond to attend! ;)

Thanks,

Damin.
