Peter Kazmierczak
Nice set of pictures there Dave. I do like the GBRf grey with small yellow panel livery. I think it suits a Cl.66 very well. A no-nonsense livery without unneccessary curves and swirls.

RMweb Gold 4630 Posted September 29, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 29, 2015 Didn't get chance to see it. If I had, I would've been photting the crane behind it! Cheers, Mick Yes, I was a little annoyed too. Unfortunately it caught me unawares, despite RealtimeTrains - wrong position and lens choice. I had been well placed at the other end of platform 3 earlier too, which would have been a perfect position to include the crane. XX

RMweb Premium Claude_Dreyfus Posted October 4, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 4, 2015 66145 approaches Pulborough with the 668Y (1N04?) 13:54 Eastleigh to Three Bridges working. It was running about 75 minutes late at this point. Rekinding memories of when this was a regular (daily) service; but substitute the 66 for a pair of 73s!

RMweb Premium Claude_Dreyfus Posted October 4, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 4, 2015 Did you catch the track machine running about 20 minutes ahead of this train? It was transferring from Barnham (presumably following engineers work in that area) back to Three Bridges depot.

RMweb Gold 4630 Posted October 6, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 6, 2015 After the Freightliner route training trips over the previous few weeks from Leeds Balm Road, along the Calder Valley via Hebden Bridge and on to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, the green team got to grips with the first loaded working today. Checked at Bradley Wood Junction by the preceding stopper from Huddersfield to Leeds via Bradford Interchange, 66617 grinds round the curves and the up grade towards Brighouse with the 2,400 tons of loaded HHA bogie coal hoppers of 6M09, 0545 Immingham Import Terminal to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station. I can't recall the last time I saw a loaded coal train along the Calder Valley. Certainly a few years ago.
