The Bigbee Line
r3W][/url] Ok..........The signal and the ex-SR.Gantry........... Dave, is this a doctored picture or can you only go towards Buckland Junction via platform 3?
David Todd
Dave, is this a doctored picture or can you only go towards Buckland Junction via platform 3? I never do doctored/photoshopped pics, get what you see, mistakes,n' all. can you only go towards Buckland Junction via platform 3? From what I understand, you are correct,in "Normal Operation".London Victoria train terminates at DP.platform 3, and runs back to Vic,hourly, always via Medway Town's From the scissor's crossing at DP,for platform's 1 & 2,... there are no crossover's,after leaving platform 3 (that road join's after the scissors), between,DP and Folkestone Central. So if you left DP. platform 3 exiting south, you would be travelling, up,on the down line for trains from London Char.X.via Ashford............ David Todd
Some work done today........ Lining up DP.platform 1 (on the right)..............with "The Plank" (9ft),...........and Eric Sykes. 1. Holes were drilled through the platform & extension platform,...... into the baseboard....... 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. The last pic. shews, the locating dowel(s),to be pushed down into the b/board. The platform(s) are/is now located in position with no glue and no movement. (bumps or scrapes). It is also easily removeable to do some upgrading on the workbench.. Now, I can start, relaying the trackwork, through DP....... But first....................Am off for a kip............ Lyddrail
Ernie, Sorry I see what you mean. My S&T mates have been replacing signal heads for a few years with these LED multi aspect single lenz heads. They are more realiable and need less maintenance. But they do look odd. Cheers. David Todd
Another mock..........everything you see is just a trial..... On the final model, another double rail support post will be fitted and the underframe support frame will be cut back, by 2 frames (from the right). This should then line up in the center of the track,on platform 2. The single Led lens,on the real signal, will be supplied by Absolute Aspects on the model. The tunnel portal will be removed and a better representation,is to be fitted. Richard Johnstone,of Dcc Concepts, supplied me with all of my Platform light's,which, have been aibrushed to a near enough representative colour...........
