RMweb Gold Popular Post Enterprisingwestern Posted January 4, 2014 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) 7084 on 2V22 D7005 on 1O55. 1.7.72. Sometime in 1970 if memory serves, I'll try and find my spotting book. I think they are in chronological order, if anyone knows different. The blue Hymek was haulage from Weymouth to Maiden Newton, and the green one our return loco. Some Westbury and Swindon ones from the same trip if anyone is interested. Mike. jonny777
Some excellent photos there, although the scrap lines are a very sad sight. Thanks for sharing them though, it is always good to see pictures of hydraulics taken 40-50 years ago.

Classsix T
Miscellany indeed, transposed photos are cheating though! Superb blue era oil splosher phots, I have regularly read of the pro-foters hanging up their gear at the end of steam etc. And know of more not taking pics in less than ideal lighting, images like these fill the gaps, and should be cherished. Geoff Endacott
I don't think this can be 1970 will all those Hymeks on the scrap line. If this is the same week as 818 at Westbury, I would hazard a guess at 1972. Geoff Endacott
westernglory
Great images, most especially those of the hydraulics. Further to Geoff's point just above, D1022 was in Swindon between April and December 1972, so helping to confirm his suggested date.
