Well - North Haston will have Chris, Nick, Steve Lewis, Me, possibly Jon Gwinett operating (I'll be departing around 2.15 on Saturday afternoon to catch the train back to Inverness) and I know that at some point on the Friday Julian Andrews and  George Lowen will be visiting from the South West UK - so do pop by and introduce yourself - None of us bite - well not often! The one with his mouth open (yawning!) will probably be me - I have to be up at some unearthly hour to get to the train!

The queue dissipates quite quickly after the doors open. It's very well organised. It's the folks that queue up to get in at the stroke of opening I dont understand, unless they know a stand with fantastic bargains that I've never found

Always a good exhibition . I usually come by train. Looking at Friday and Saturday for my visits

The Blackburn & East Lancs MRS will have a dozen or more members making the trip on the Friday.

Seven with Senior Railcards will be in First Class on the pendolino - fifty quid return with two meals!

It's an annual event for our club - always a good social trip and one or two good layouts to see!

Steve.

Yep, I'll be there demonsterating (a Dibnahism) conversions to the broader gauges. Say hello, but only if I've got a smile on me face, some conversions are easier than others....

Sorry but Lanarkshire Models & Supplies don't attend the exhibition but Parkside Dundas do stock our wagon buffers.

Dave Franks.

I'll be there as usual, as well as being the guide editor my son James is exhibiting his "Jamestown Junction" layout, showing what can be done with a "train set" in just 5x3&1/2 feet as one of our junior modellers, he's only 9 but is really excited to be exhibiting his own layout instead of helping on our club ones!

See you all there.

Cheers

Craig

Don't think I'll be going to this one.  Glasgow's a funny show - I remember that one year I thought it was terrific and stayed to the end, another I thought it poor and caught an early train home.  Other years it has been somewhere in between. I have to ask myself "Is it worth a 180-mile round trip and about £35 before I even bother the traders or refreshment stands?"  Last year I posted at some length as to why I found the show unsatisfactory but I was clearly in a minority and I see no reason to think that anything will have changed - and nor should it, I suppose, if the majority of people prefer it as it was.  My main reason in going to a show, other than a local one, is the trade support, and sadly Glasgow seems to have lost some of the niche specialist traders who used to go there, eg Gibson, Eileens, etc.  Glasgow is not alone in this and I understand that some such traders find the costs levied by the bigger shows prohibitive which is a great pity.

The complete set of the Wrecking Crew will be there, myself and Richard Coleman assisting George Woodcock on Brixworth and Simon George assisting Dave Tailby on one of his micro layouts which he will have stored in his jacket pocket.

See you all there.

I would enquire if you could claim "attendance" allowance for Dave!

I have been known to fly up for this one from my exile in Kent, but not this time, alas. New(ish) baby and unwillingness to gamble on M25 traffic during drive to airport are key factors! Oh for the days of EUJet and Flybe flying out of Manston, perhaps the UK's most under-utilised airport. Third runway at Heathrow anyone?

Hello

Model Rail Scotland will be the last appearance of Brixworth Station as it is now sold and will be retiring to Buckinghamshire. The layout also features in the new edition of British Railways Modelling out on the 13th. See you in a couple of weeks.
