Additional track added to the 5 th and 7 th fiddleyard but due to complications with wife's operation and return to hospital modelling time is currently hospital time but will find a little time this evening after visiting to create some personal down time. Lengthing Elm Street fiddleyard can wait until things are more sorted.

Trapped in car in massive thunderstorm in hospital car park lengthened visit this evening! Hailstones, heavy rain and natures light show

It was a very impressive light show!  Better than watching the cr*p on telly    Just glad I wasn't out in it.

Wife still up and down and proving to be a little more difficult to get back on an even keel so priorities changed to nursing duties. Did lay two more tracks and add the switch to the Elm Street extension. Just need to put in the brass screws for one more track, lay in the track and cut through.

If doing again then would make the fiddle yard in 2 even pieces and if exhibited a full length filler where Iron works currently sits.

Gosh last post 26 th September but lots of things that needed priority, wife health improving, it is but will still not be fit to think of work until end of December. Work demands though now started the I do not need this any more but you might folder as date of retirement now fixed and the small matter of the 55th Wakefield Show which I think was naviagated to a successful conclusion. So not a lot of progress made but a new member has joined and he has Monon stock!

Giving a talk at the club on Monday evening entitled Vimes Street and the Monon about how it was built etc and up against stiff competition as also appearing in Wakefield is Micheal Portillo and his role in saving the S and C .

Talk to members last night and rounds off Vimes Street Phase 1. Many thanks to all who have in any way contributed to Vimes Street development with advice and comments. Weekend saw the purchase of a heater that can be used in the garage and hopefully more time in there. Phase 2 aim, to complete, test and have someone believe it's good enough to be exhibited

Long time since been in the garage, lots of ends to finish at work as retiring in July but today made back in.

Made up the snag list and what's left to do list and aiming to chip away and get it some sort of order in the coming months.

After cleaning of rails then trains did indeed run as evidenced by this clip.

Only downside yesterday was F3 with sound starts up fine, honk the horn apply power and then everything on the Loco cuts out dead, no lights, no sound nothing. If take off track and put back then goes through start up procedure but as soon as power applied to move dead. Any ideas?
