CME and Bottlewasher
I would rather have had Falcon from JLTRT myself, but I may have to make do with to Heljan offering. Indeed.....I would too Phill, but too big for my layout a fine loco though! Pete seen it on its inaugural run through Brinklow, I suppose if you just happen to own the kit company then you get what you want!! There's been quite a bit of interest ever since they first mentioned it some time ago, That explains it Steve, and if any of us had a kit company and the means, we'd probably do the same! Jon Fitness
Very nice! I asked Pete 6 or 7 years ago if he was going to do DP1 and he said no! Not sure I like the way the resin bogie frames seem to be set up only to take the Slaters motorgearbox though.. JF

Benjamin Brady
The Derby lightweight is looking very nice could very well be tempted here but when are we going to have some mk3 stock or a HST , although a 76 and 77 a step in the right direction with overhead electrics :). CME and Bottlewasher
The only downside, if I can call it that, with the DP1, is that its already been done, to a high standard, and thus is duplication albeit RTR vs Kit (the latter being the reason for some being in the hobby of course - ie the creative aspect of the hobby). I have to say looking at the Warship parts, JLTRTs kits just seem to get better and better-dare I say, now the industry's standard? I still have a set of wheels for a Class 22, a class 22 kit is very tempting! Edited December 13, 2015 by CME and Bottlewasher

CME and Bottlewasher
Very nice! I was bought - as a stocking filler - a Cruiser MKVI Tank, no scale on the packaging, but looks about right for 7mm. Plastic construction, looks fairly accurate and although modelling 1965-76, I have, with the Terrier et al, started to make up some 'funnies' (which is, IIRC, what David Jenkinson used to call them - ie out of period/era trains, run for fun). Yes it would be getting a bit side-tracked but a rake of wagons with these nice tank models on seems very appealing. The era we model had the superb Centurions in service, yet, AFAIK, these never went by rail, but via Antar Low-lowders...shame. The season's greetings! LooseHead
Very nice! I was bought - as a stocking filler - a Cruiser MKVI Tank, no scale on the packaging, but looks about right for 7mm. I think the only offerings near the right scale - 1/48 for 1:43.5 - are by Tamiya or Gaso.line, and this was probably the latter. They only manufacture 1/48 (unlike Tamiya) so don't put the scale on the packing, but use the brand 'Quarter Kits' (presumably from the American description of 1/48 as 'quarter scale'). You probably ought to have some Grants alongside the Crusaders, because AFAIK Crusaders only served in mixed regiments. But the only 1/48 Grant is, I believe, from Blitzkreig and it might give you loading gauge problems, since they're a pretty tall tank. Of course, it would probably fit nicely on a Warwell (they were, after all, designed for the Sherman) which would be a nice complement to the Rectank ... ! rembrow
The Crusader 1/43 model is readily available as it was used in both Atlas and Eaglemoss partworks in UK and Europe and wholesalers have been selling surplus models to dealers over the last year. There is quite a range covering British, American, French, German and Italian second world war AFVs in 1/43 scale. You can find many of these ex Atlas and Eaglemoss models for sale on e-bay. For British types there is also a beautiful Humber armoured car and I've just picked up from my local shop a Chevrolet C8a short wheelbase command truck in Guards Division nw Europe markings. They are detailed models as in addition to using diecast metal, detail parts are injection plastic moulded.
