I've got a Bachrus 50 Series, supposedly for 15-23mm gauges, but before buying it I confirmed that it would open up to 28mm for my 4mm broad gauge stock. I've now discovered it will take 32mm gauge as well, so I can run my O gauge locos on it, although I'm a bit cautious about the weigh and size of them, even though I won't be having anything bigger than an 0-6-0. I've run one of my Dapol Terriers in on it without a problem.

Got myself a rolling road from realistic models yesterday at Warley, not cheap at £85, but a fantastic piece of kit.

I’ve just bought one on eBay for £75. I was struggling with the little clip-on ones, O Gauge die-cast body locos weigh up to 5 kg and the very coarse scale wheel profiles and traction tyres weren’t a good match. This unit is just the job on first trial, secure and robust, easy to adjust.. the centre bar provides a good contact for 3-rail locos, too

Out of production now but the Gaugemaster LT self contained power unit and road is a great tool.

Occasionally available on e bay.

Dave.

Resurrecting a very old thread, but I too have a Gaugemaster.

The issue I tend to have is that the locos tend to want to climb off of it.

Is that just me or is it that the rollers aren't really that well-profiled or free to roll?
