cheesysmith
I always remember staying one weekend with a mate at Birmingham uni. He said we needed to pop to the shop, and gave me the same directions he was given when he got there. So we walked to the shop, which was ten mins walk up the hill according to the directions given. We got to the shop and I said to him "wheres the hill?" "That's what I said first time a well" He turned round and pointed, we had climbed a "hill" in ten mins that wasn't even 20ft higher than the bottom. And not even noticed. We have driveways round here steeper than that. 3
RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted December 31, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted December 31, 2020 Look I am quite happy living only 2.5m above sea level and we are 2 miles in from the sea. The first contour line on a local OS map goes through the Co-op at Manby, 5 miles inland. 1

The bypass on the A16 isn't exactly flat either (says he whose bedroom used to look out across the Wolds) The one with B&H models, well worth getting puffed out when I get there. 2

Now Stephen, Living in Essex I have seen enough Roman remains for a life time. When I lived in Little Waltham one local land owner was most upset when he couldn't build on his land as it was a Roman burial ground. 2

I am not having a battery driven one all the time Mrs M is around. We had a patient on one the wards I worked on who had an electric wheel chair. He wanted it recharged, as I went to push it towards a socket he suggested I sit in it and drive it across the room.......CRASH!!!!!!..... The patient in the next room thought it very funny when he asked what was all the noise about. 1

LNER4479
Glad to have inspired a similar project - not that you need much inspiration, you consummate hacker and bodger, you. Great to see a workbench looking even more (dis)organised than mine. Go Clive, go - and Happy Noo Year. 3

RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted January 1, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 1, 2021 15.30 before taking dogs out and being rained on 3 times. The backs of the coaches have had the thickner on the bottom, this is drying but soon to be filed into the turn under and the tab to clip into the roof. The roof has had its long vent removed and a plastic card insert placed in the resulting hole, needs filler to hide the gaps. The two white things on the chassis are to cemented on to the rear of the sides , they form the tabs to fit into the chassis.

RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted January 1, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 1, 2021 This as far I have got with it, I even done some while watching Doctor Who.....weren't it great, I do like a bit of Dalek. Here it is with the Cravens SO prototype. The turn under is hard to see on a white plastic card model under artificial light. The straight upper body does show up and is quite distinctive from the normal Mk1 profile. 9

woodenhead
I tried to watch Dr Who, beaten by my TV that wouldn't play it on iPlayer without the man in the corner waving his arms and then the wife who wanted to watch Soul on Disney. When she goes to bed I'll try again Edited January 1, 2021 by woodenhead 1
