  1. Its the BB017, that is 50mm deep, its the one you are using Ralph Its the one that goes into the Christmas Tree Box
  2. Looks like they have already been butchered to me
  3. Looking good, you can download Peco point templates from their website, all you need to do is print them off. I'm still waiting for the BB017 to be delivered. I've used the box to help with the track plan Vauxhall_&_Duddeston_Plan_Photograph.pdf
  4. Don't forget the red oxide first, it might last a couple of months longer..................
  5. Fantastic, how did you get that 'dirty' windows look for the warehouse windows?
  6. IMHO the ballast with thin sleepers looks too neat and uniform, thick sleepers allow for prototypical variations in ballast height allowing some sides of sleepers to be seen.
  7. Its always worth waiting for the right bus to come along, sometimes they come in two's
  8. I think that Model Railroaders use Sculpturemold in North America to make scenery, I didn't know it was available in the UK
  9. It could have been down to the amount of recycled plastic used as a proportion to virgin plastic, I understand there is a optimum beyond which the product becomes inferior. If the mix wasn't controlled then variations could possibly occur.
  10. Having a pee round the corner, never seen this modelled!
  11. The Hairy Bikers were on the 'One Show' this week and Dave Myers announced that during lockdown he had started to build a model railway and now had 6 engines (yes he used the correct word), there was no adverse comments from anyone. I think the foundations were laid with the Great Model Railway Challenge
  12. Sounds good, can you remember the name of the cafe?
  13. The WFH allowance is an additional personal allowance you can claim, nothing to do with a business allowances.
  14. If his employer has no control why does his family have to remain downstairs? I think the employer is OTT and I would be looking for another position if I was in that situation
  15. No, and in fact they can claim some income tax relief as per this link https://www.gov.uk/tax-relief-for-employees/working-at-home No brainer really, like the high street, the move will be towards the internet way of working things
  16. The company I used to work for up until mid May when I was made redundant are going to invoke the mid lease break clause and ask all of the surviving employees to work from home permanently, they are so scared for their jobs they will agree, whether it is good for them physically, mentally or financially. An example I can cite from personal experience and I am sure this must not be unique.
  17. The working in offices in city centres business model is broken, a lot of companies in the financial, technology and service sectors (who occupy the majority of city centre office space) have now instituted structures and working practices which enable their work force to work effectively from home and any meetings are handled by Zoom and MS Teams. Working from home is the new norm, and a lot of businesses will be terminating office leases and saving on accommodation costs including prohibitive business rates, I know this from first hand experience. This also has a further benefit as the work force is probably happier as they do not have to spend considerable time and money on commuting. Commuting will never recover to anywhere near pre-Covid levels, and the cost of season tickets is not at the centre of the decision.
  18. Hi John, Are you fitting lights to the canopies? Steve
  19. Be assured insurance companies are not in it for your benefit, they are in it to make a profit for their shareholders
  20. Brilliant backscene, I can smell the smoke from the chimneys!
