    You have to wonder about the quality of the algorithms used by internet advertisers when someone who achieved notoriety by getting sea-sick aboard a boat that was tied to the bank on the Thames finds himself inundated with adverts for cruises.

      I had to dismantle mine back in June due to a house move, six months later I have moved house but not got round yet to getting the layout set up again, withdrawal symptoms are setting in...

      The best sounding loco on BR metals at the mo, but for me nothing beats a Peak at full blast! (Though a 50 and 40 come close).

    Never ever buy fuel at a motorway service station. Diesel at most places on the M6 going north today was £1.52.9 and 500 yards off the motorway at Carlisle A7 junction £1.33.9 !!!! Saved £9 by avoiding the sharks....

      Agreed but the cafes are ok! I always buy my fuel from Texaco--car definitely runs better on its unleaded.

      Yep, the food at these places is a rip off too, much better to swing off the motorway and head to a ubiquitous supermarket and use their cafés instead
