  1. One for me please Ian. What was the source of transfers? Chris
  2. Cheers Rob - I'm not too far from you so hopefully it will appear somewhere at some point. It should have had its first show at Stow last May. Chris
  3. I've just run in and put sound in a Hornby 8f and I'm about to weather it....I think we know what that means....
  4. Something to look forward to in the New Year.......
  5. As Peco do some work for EMGS can I assume the rail is therefore compatible with Peco track??
  6. TMC and DPD seem to be doing a little better. Mine is due this afternoon.
  7. I can't speak for N but in terms of small layout gratification my N American HO stock runs and uncouples etc far better than my 4mm stuff - although to be fair its a lot better than it used to be and I now use Kadees on my 4mm stuff.....but I do like a model that's close to home.....a dilemma.. Chris
  8. Glad to help Dave So far I've been very pleased - you'll note I added some 3mm ply inset into the 3mm cork so alignment was easier to achieve. Best Chris
  9. Stumbled across this video of a DMU adding a bit of variety.
  10. I wanted to run Railfreight stock - my "best" memories of the railway - but also wanted an Inglenook so I just accept its a shunting puzzle with locos and wagons I like. My "plus" is a small platform with its own exit to the fiddle yard which means I could probably run a more prototypical sequence if I wanted. The result is Penmaenbach. I also have selection of "Dutch" departmental stock from the same era...
  11. I've used their Peco Code 75 (not Bullhead) for base board joints and they seem good. I was keen they did HO C83 and they now seem to be on the way.
  12. I too would like to move on with my RTR stock so will be happy to build a kit that looks good compared with proprietary products. I do have some Peco BH turnouts so will wait for the shorter (?A6)points when available. Not keen on Unifrog because of a few locos that have proved impossible to re-wheel so live frog will do me.. Chris
  13. Indeed they do....just needs a little friend now...
  14. Can I just reveal my complete ignorance of the history of this class but...would they have been found on goods trains in the BR era? (and yes I am a big fan of Rule 1 as well)
  15. Royal Rail Replacement surely? Some Youtube from Bristol from Kev
